I am proud to announce FlashCoin, the fastest coin in the universe. FlashCoin will feature a blazing fast 6 second blocktime, making it 100% faster than the competition.

FlashCoin aims to be the premiere coin for all situations that require an extremely fast confirmation time. Notable applications include: vending machines, in app purchases, toll booths. Additionally,
the fast block time in tandem with the quick retarget time ensures that the blockchain will never grind to a halt like other altcoins have.

Features:

Scrypt based
1 coin per block
6 seconds between blocks
Retarget every 10 mins
10 million total coins
No block reward for first 420 blocks to prevent instamining. Block 420 has been hit, full rewards given now

Listen port: 18900
RPC port: 18901

IMPORTANT! Please use this as your flashcoin.conf file

Code:
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
server=1
daemon=1
addnode=62.84.251.90
addnode=113.162.170.213

To solo mine with cgminer:

Code:
cgminer.exe --scrypt -I 11 -s 1 --expiry 1 --queue 0 -g 1 -o 127.0.0.1:18901 -u user -p pass

Download

I think its good to release stuff like this .. just to see what will happen and how the network will preform Smiley

Essentially all these coins are just the breeding ground for what is going to unseat BitCoin as #1

Only 1 coin has to 'get it right' for that to happen.

Absolutely correct!! So far predictions about how coins will behave have not been accurate at all. Bitcoin and Litecoin have their problems. Eventually somebody will find the best set of coin parameters and that coin will dominate in the future.

How to play it? Mine them all and hold them!! There will many dogs but one will turn to "gold"!

People bragging about it are the ones who are scared that one might make a damage to their portfolio.

I'm sure the day will come soon when shitcoins have saturated the market (I think we're close to this point) & hazard will release a coin & everyone will go 'I dont give a fuck' and move along. And the only person mining them will be hazard.

it will be difficult for people without SSDs to even sync up with the blockchain to mine.
why does this happen anyway - why does the client not store stuff in RAM first and write to disk in chunks later?

No reward for 420 blocks, funny that number shows up a lot in your "unique" coins...at 0.000244 diff those should keep the "instamine" down for about another 15 minutes...

It will allow difficulty to reach a decent amount before rewards are given out.

Allows a buffer time for people to get their miners set up etc.

Also generating a genesis block at that difficulty would take forever.

Create a flashcoin.conf in the C:\USERS\YOURNAME\APPDATA\ROAMING\FLASHCOIN directory and populate it with the info laid out in the OP.

Then launch CGMiner using the commands in the OP.

So far I'm getting about 1/3 of my blocks rejected...

current network difficulty = 2.68k

difficulty is dropping from a high of 3k about 30 min ago... Apparently the diff adjustment is working; I like that it gives me an idea of how many people are mining.

This experiment was already done with Geist Geld.

Stales and orphans....that should sum it up.

Waste of time and electricity mining this.
Odd, i've very little rejects. Accepts are looking golden.

I think its good to release stuff like this .. just to see what will happen and how the network will preform Smiley

Essentially all these coins are just the breeding ground for what is going to unseat BitCoin as #1

Only 1 coin has to 'get it right' for that to happen.

because we did not already learn from gg?

Quick question,

In solo mining, does your wallet register rejects? I have 385 transactions and around 250 FLC. Seems to be missing some FLC Cheesy

P.S.
