I think gold is irreplaceable, unless gold is not scarce, everywhere, then gold is worthless, and bitcoin is virtual digital cash, can't compare with gold.

bitcoin will gradually replenish gold, it will happen to its fore. but I do not know what will happen next year, maybe it can replace or not because gold since ancient times has been very valuable to human beings. but for me bitcoin will be a golden drawer because now two two are precious to us. if you rate the bitcoin as a gold substitute that you think it can happen for any reason. gold and bitcoin have their own facilities that are more than enough to justify them, one will not replace the other as that is what happens.

Short of asteroid mining becoming viable I think it's highly unlikely. Gold has been used as money for thousands of years, I doubt that it'll get replaced that easily. hold it right there... Gold is not just some shit you extract from earth and trade it to just have value. it has a thousand and one different usages in a wide range of fields. from electronics to medical. and from big (macro) to small (nano) sizes of it is being used. and the "value" comes from these plus scarcity of it.
Keep in mind while gold has a lot of usages, it's utility is not the main factor that drives its value. If governments and private entities wouldn't use gold as store of value, it's price would be nowhere close to current levels. I think it is very clear that the value and function of gold already know a lot, but for me personally gold is a passive investment that is only by waiting and waiting the value of the up and down price in investing but bitcoin can be developed or in other words active investment can with investments are waiting or we can participate in ICO projects which will certainly earn rewards or profits as well

I don't think bitcoin can replace gold. Today's gold reserves are largely a historical legacy and have nothing to do with currencies, and currencies no longer need gold to support them. Also, bitcoin is a fixed number of things.

I do not know if bitcoin can replace gold. As I know, right now this is a very interesting bitcoin investment. Fluctuations in bitcoin prices such as stocks, are very interesting to follow. But gold is still gold, its use as a jewelry. But when viewed from the investment bitcoin and gold. because more of them choose bitcoin.

not only will it replace it, it will surely be worth much more than gold, since the price of gold is very manipulated.

In coming years, there is strong possibility to replace gold by bitcoin. Gold give good return but it don't do anything for economy as most of the people keep it in their locker. But in coming years, people will use bitcoin as a normal currency and it gives a good return as well. Similarly, supply is very limited like Gold.

In terms of financial power, bitcoin and gold are the same. But if you are replacing gold by a bitcoin, it is not a good decision. Gold is not just a rock that is being extract for money. Gold have a lot if use unlike the bitcoin that is only good for business transactions. Even though bitcoin is profitable, gold is still better because of its own characteristics.

I don't think bitcoin can replace gold, even though bitcoin has a good performance in the market and greater value now a days, but gold is a precious metal that the world needed.

I think that Bitcoin can indeed replace Gold as a safe haven but only when its price stabilizes on a particular price level.

A few days ago I read in a newspaper that many people are replacing gold with bitcoins because more profitable over time, you never know ! bitcoin is better than gold i guess
In this times, bitcoin is really way better investment than gold because the former offers a potential fast return of investment and even opportunity to gain profits in a very fast manner as well. With gold, it is for a long term because its price movement is quite slow. Bitcoins are great in this year and in the coming times you will be seeing bitcoins at the top of economical state. There will be more bitcoins than now and everyone is just dealing in bitcoins everywhere. Like you said, gold is also a better investment but they are so much expensive to buy same like bitcoins, but the edge bitcoins are getting that it is giving more profit in short term.

People nowadays happily hold bitcoins rather then gold because of its price and profit. And bitcoin has its own place, people use it as investment, for saving and for transactions. So both are on there place, will not be replace.

Bitcoin and Gold are two entirely different asset/investment/valuables in my own opinion. I don't see no reason for comparison.
Bitcoin can't replace Gold. Don't get it twisted

How the hell could that happen? Bitcoin is just an electronic currency and it can offer real money for daily use. But gold is too important in human life. Let's stop thinking about its value, think of the value it brings to human life. sparkling rings, beautiful gold chains or gold-plated metal fittings. You can see that gold is indispensable in human life.

I do not think bitcoin will replace gold. Bitcoin is electronic money, it's future is uncertain. Many countries do not accept bitcoin. It will end whenever. Gold is a precious metal, it appears for a long time and it can not disappear.
The existence of bitcoin enclosed with inherent risk, definitely like what you’ve said its future is uncertain. It lacks a guaranteed value while the gold exist decades ago and still existing as of today with a precious value.
