I think Bitcoin will stay alive as long as there is demand and the supply it will continuously attract and use by the people. as long as there is an internet connection and blockchain then it will always there for us. if the internet connection disappear, bitcoin also will be fade away. But then too impossible right now because on this generation of the technology is very advantageous. Yea bitcoin is now in high demand and I think world want to change the conventional currency system, they want to earn from the currency they owe and bitcoin has all those things which community need now and now world is completely accepting bitcoin and will demand to declare it as global coin so the answer to the survival is that people feel safe in using bitcoin so they will never get bored of it and it will stay.
Bitcoin can be used even without internet, Yes, it can be used with satellite signals as some phone work on, and/or on the big Local Area Network between the devices.
