There are two motives of formal education.
1. Make you wise (knowledge)
2. Make you worthwhile (earn money for living)

You should take the masters degree if you feel you need to step up these two things. Otherwise you're good.

Master degree is very importany in my opinion,
because if want to apply for a job, they require people with a master degree,
that's why its very important, not only for the work, in this socialization era,
people will look down on you if you don't have master degree,

not all master degree graduates required in applying a job. It is essential depends on the position you are applying for. If it is a higher position, maybe it will be required but mostly as I've been in a corporate world for 17 years, and working abroad they did not required me in my position.

Do you think that master degree is important?

It's an advantage if a person has his/her Master's degree since It's a leverage against any other applicant. Normally some companies are really looking at the credentials of the applicant, they don't care how experienced you are but for example, you only finished a vocational course then most probably they'll pick with the one that got his/her Master's degree along with that is a very high expectation.

I see that many companies nowadays ask for a master degree but still I know many people who had a job without it. Do you think it is essential?

Well only selected companies, but I think it's not that essential. Since I knew some that aren't or don't even have a proper education are having a much better position than any of those graduates of the four-year courses. Though some of the companies don't care about what you finished instead they're basing it on their experiences.

It is important for people who are pursuing a much greater job opportunity. Holding a Masters Degree is one of the hardest privilege a person can get. Just thinking of the money you’ll be spending and the time and effort that you’ll put into it is no joke.

Personally, to get the knowledge and abilities that you need to do a job, probably you needn´t it. However measure if a person is able or not to do the tasks required to do a job is pretty hard, so a master degree will give certain guarantee to an employer that you will be able to do the job. For that reason, if you get a master degree, you will have more chances to find more jobs, with better wages and better work conditions than without one.

Getting a Master's degree is pretty easy actually. And it's getting easier every year because it's becoming increasingly mandatory.

For me, I think masters degree is important, in order to have better and stable job, having masters degree is a requirement for some companies and also, studying and graduating with masters degree can give you opportunity to earn higher salary than those who did not study masters degree. Having specialty in a field is also good.

It depends on what kind of job you are going to take. Many jobs such as developer, sales man, master degree is not a must.
For some jobs, they only open to master or above. Some company may use the master degree as measurement for promotion, but in most of the jobs, a master degree does not mean "you are a master in this area".

Yup. Obviously you can get an increased amount of knowledge and skills from a 2-year Masters course. But the big question, which you need to answer is whether it is worth spending two years, for this much skills and knowledge. May be you can spend those 2 years doing something more productive. But then, you need to take the decision.

It depends on the course of study. Some discipline requires you to go further like architecture and other environmental courses

A Master Degree is not important to me, and I guess a lot of other people.  There is much in life more important than a qualification, however if you feel it is something you want to do then go for it.  I know of many people who measure well without one.

If you plan to climb the corporate ladder, you NEED a master degree, because if you don't have it you will be blocked.
If you want an entrepreneurial career... throw to hell degrees and star to make experience :-)

No you don't. Quite a few of the most successful people in the world don't have a degree at all.

This is true. But if you compare, on average, a group of people with a certain level of education, whether master's, BA, high school or PhD, those with the highest qualifications come out on top in terms of income, health, and a number of other important correlates.
