Do your own research! ICOs can be very profitable of can become a true nightmare. If you invest some time you might find the right one and make great profits

investing in an ICO is a risky investment and the risk is very high. you can't say it is good or bad or even right or wrong. it depends on the risks you want to take.

for example some people gamble and they can make money too. but it is not really a wise thing. ICO is the same too. the risks are nearly at the same level in my opinion. i prefer investing in something that has some clear history than some promise of a project that may or may not take and lift off.

but the only reason that ICO investment is still around is the possibility of big reward that can to some extent justify the high risks.

Depends. Some of the ICO's I invested in were successful, others not so much. You need to do your research:
how credible the team is;
is there solid, easy to understand whitepaper;
how is the coin supply going to be divided;
how consistent and realistic the roadmap (timeline of development) is;
is there a use case or (even better) a working product or a service already;
how is the team communicating with prospective investors and marketing the ICO;
If you follow those steps, you probably won't eliminate the risk of falling for a bad ICO or even a scam, but the odds of that will be lower.
Anyway, more often than not, right after the coin gets listed on the exchanges, some impatient traders dump it at low prices. That's the time when you can buy it to make profit later.

Unless the ICO has a sufficient amount and good marketing to sustain in the industry, then you can make some good profit. But don't put yourself all in

For now I personally do not think that its wise to invest in Initial Coin offerings. Instead its a great time to get some cheap alts that are already trading in various exvhanges. But as always there are exceptions- I will be buying into Storm, hazza and dragonchain ICO.

You should really do some of your own research instead of taking everyone else's word especially if you are doing a substantial investment.

Hello, Friends...

I Recently listen about the ICO (Initial Coin Offerings)!But I'm confused, Is it a Right Investment or Not?

Anyone Suggests me!

It is just like buying BTC when it was first offered, You had a lot of questions if it is a right investment or no. But why today more and more people are investing on it? Because many people are trusting it.

Same thing with the ICO's for altcoins No one can tell if it is a right investment or no during the ICO even the dev can't tell it. The only time that it will have a true value is when people start using that coin.

So in order for you to know if it is a right investment, try reading their portfolio, try asking yourself if more people would trust that coin after ICO and if demand would be high.

I think the ICO is definitely a good investment because they often list on big exchanges in good times to help the project attract more investors, which makes it possible for people to make a profit in the short term

Of course it's the really good opportunity if we choose the right ico, to do that you must fully understand what they said in their whitepaper Grin

Now on the market altcoins are constantly appearing and disappearing coins. Impossible to guess which project will be successful. It seems to me that the chance of winning in this market is lower than the probability to win at the casino. So I'm scared to invest money in all altcoins.

It's a bit of a broad question but, generally speaking, the majority of ICOs will end up loading you money - from my experience anyway. That said, there are many that will give you one hell of a grof at return, especially if you get in on the pre ICO.

As has been mentioned a number of times, the best thing to do is research the pricey before parting with any of your money/crypto.

Personally I have only ever invested in three pre ICOS. I hope they will succeed and believe they will return a profit, even if only s minor one. A lot of the game is just waiting it out and holding on for dear life. All coins have moments of weakness. Even the almighty BTC has dips. Just remember not to panic unless you have seen reason to believe that the coin is done for

Icos are just a mean to easily access investing opportunities, recently been made avaiable by blockchain technologies. You should always check the underlying business/concept fundraising through them.

Basically you have to follow the project and read some reviews and then just follow your gut if you think it has potential, than its quite possible you can earn some money.
If you will manage to choose the right one you as well might become very wealthy after some time.

Beware! Most of the ICOs are really unrealistic and it's not even possible to implement on current blockchain technology. I see alot of similarities of the Dot-Com bubble.
Many of you investing in ICOs will loose alot of money, and some will make profit.

Do your research before investing and be ready to loose all you invest, it's like investing in tech stocks before the Dot-Com bubble. If the ICOs not delievers you will see a huge dump in value and you will loose it all, see if they have a realistic roadmap and that it's possible to implement.

I think there is no definite answer to your question. It can be good and not good. Depends on your ability to choose the right one, and to decide whether it is better to keep coins or to trade them right after the ICO is over

Invest in ICO project is really good but to find out a good project to invest in is a big problem Smiley)) There are so many ICO projects and some of them are scam projects so it's not easy to find out the good one. In my opinion, the good project often provide both bounty campaign paying in their own token and signature or social media campaign paying in Bitcoin. All the ICO project provided both kind of campaign I know have been successful Cheesy

I think ICO(Initial Coin Offering) is a good investment beacause we can buy the coins at a cheap price .After he coin price will be raised we can sell the coins and make profit. But before buy coins from an ICO we have to have a self research about the projects ,will it be successfull? will the coin price will be raised? we have to coinsider those things.
