Joined the POW token airdrop the other day, got around 300k POW Tokens and it claimed it was worth $850. Then a moment later when I checked again it dropped down to $140. Does anyone know if it is legit?

It's not a scam, the tokens are given away for free to increase mass adoption of crypto, that's why they are using twitter and facebook instead of airdropping to bitcointalk users only, to get new people interested in crypto.
If you read their FAQ on the site it's all explained there. And about OP getting 800$ worth of POW for free, that price was the etherdelta trading price, and since most of the POW is currently still POW lite, it would be insane to think that after the transfer from lite to the chain it will be worth the same.
It's free and not a scam, they are one of the few tokens with an airdrop that makes sense.

As i know, POW team not airdrop POW token, they airdrop POW "lite" which will be convert to POW token with ... ratio. The price 850$ is just POW price at some time, so i have down lots since this airdrop start.

People should look on the vocabulary before using words. The word "scam" implies that you get ripped off your money, which cannot really happen with an airdrop.

Not seems to legitimate when I registered and claimed, I got 67248 tokens but all token were backed to POWtoken Free POW Allocation in another transaction as seen in screenshot after 10 minutes. and there is contact option and support option regarding this. https://imgur.com/a/N6lsa |

I don't know about the POW tokens that much I have been hearing very much about it. POS tokens which sound similar to POW is the only token I know and currently have and it has low value. The airdrop gave you like 300k coins really that kinda sounds a bit suspicious, I have seen no airdrop distribution such a big amount of tokens to just a single individual

I dont think so maybe POW is not a scam caused some of my friends had POW token and have value on it maybe the value of POW is dump for now maybe next it will pump i think this is not a scam but i have no idea on POW. goodluck

I wouldn't call it a scam. It has not got the needed support and that's what's making it seem like a scam. Let's wait for what the intend to implement and see if support will be there. If you had this token without any payment, I don't see the need for creating a thread and calling it a scam. Maybe I or you don't understand what scam is. Is there any evidence that someone is dumping majority of it that we may say it's from dev? All these must be checked before calling a program scam. Just claim and hodl and this is getting you impatient. Hodl one more time and forget about it. check coinmarketcap if listed and then start talking about scam or not.

Yeah, dude. It's absolutely legit because nowadays we face with loads of difference ICOs and airdrops everyday and it's nothing to do with the fact that most of them just getting drowned.

POW token is not a scam,it is legit and many of my co bitcoiner friends will benefited there token airdrops in there wallet,the only mistake happen to POW token that's it quickly down its value in the exchange market,but in total it is not a scam and its legal. |

To even think a coin that you got for free is scam is wrong in itself. the fact that the price dropped from what it was before is not enough for you to think it's a scam.

This airdrop cost you couple of mouse clicks and zero money investments. Thus that's not a scam. Just another useless token with no future.
