On a side note, the network hash has increased to the point where we are now less than than 45% and new user registrations have automatically unlocked so there are some slots available.

They will automatically lock again if we exceed the 45% threshold.

Thanks !

Wow, that didn't take long.  Back up to 46% and registrations properly locked again.

Anyhow, if your interested in an account keep an eye on the network hash.  As it increases our registrations will automatically unlock.

RETHINKING CRYPTOCURRENCY FROM THE BOTTOM UP

Scrypt was chosen as an encryption algorithm. Other candidates were Blue Midnight Wish, SHA3, and Skein. After much analysis we came to the conclusion that such algorithms make for a nice selling point, but fall short of Scrypt in terms of securing a blockchain. Our aim is to create the best coin possible, not lure you in with gimmicks.

Yeah, I'm so sure that you chose scrypt as the best one over those other ones, as opposed to the fact you have no idea how to implement those others.

Yeah, I'm so sure that you chose scrypt as the best one over those other ones, as opposed to the fact you have no idea how to implement those others.

And there are no SW miners for new algorithms; Scrypt or SHA256d have huge advantage that these are already supported by mining infrastructure... When YACoin was launched several days ago, it was like an excursion to the bitcoin history; only solo mining was possible and as I know only modified cpuminer is available that is basic miner (no ncurses, no failover, etc).

There should be a tie-in to spending this coin on horse supplies or maybe at the race track?  Just saying  Smiley

Update Re Silverwolf's SBC Pool : http://silverwolf.ath.cx/sbc

Thanks to some very generous donators the pool has recovered from the theft way earlier than I had thought.

We have now resumed normal operations.

Thanks guys !

FYI this pool has getwork too http://stc.coinmine.pl (stated stratum only in 2nd post) and silverwolf.ath.cx/sbc/  is stratum only

but i haven't seen my balance increase yet and every block is found by unknown, not sure if i should be mining here...

EDIT account balance is updating now
