Most common use that I use bitcoin for is gambling and I got to knowing about bitcoin because of gambling websites, first I used to gamble by depositing from debit cards in bet365 and other websites but once my parents saw my bank statement and scolded me then I was on quest of finding an alternative then came to know about bitcoin and then I started using it and now I'm fine and they don't bother me now.

Even tho the uses you listed are true and can be done , not all flight companies , hotels or restaurants accept bitcoin as a payment method since it's been newly introduced to a lot of people across the world and a much larger number of people is still unaware of it . You might find some markets that can accept it especially in china and the middle east generally but people in south Africa or in Latin America are certainly not aware of it .
Bitcoin does also has many other uses such as using it in online casinos or Eshops such as Aliexpress etc . But if it were me i wouldn't even think of using my funds because the true potential of bitcoin isn't reached yet and i'm almost sure that it's value nearing 5.7k now will double by 2018 end .

In fact bitcoin is not created for trading and investment, but unfortunately still the facilities of bitcoin to use it as currency is not available every where and therefore we are using it for trading and other such purposes. i think in future we can expect to use bitcoin as currency in stores both for online  as well as for offline purposes but it is in fact depending on the number of bitcoin users. As soon as the number of bitcoin users will increase more opportunities will he people to use bitcoin as currency.

In our country, there is a local platform which allows us to buy goods and services, the application allows us also to pay in private and public institutions. The most simplest way you can use your Bitcoin is to buy a prepaid load, the platform also offers the connection of payment to electric company and internet com. What's more interesting is that it may be use as a form of payment for public health and life insurance and even as payment for tuition fee in some selected universities in our country. Bitcoin can be widely use now, but for me it is still wiser if someone will consider it as an asset and investment.
