I created a support ticket on December 27th in order to disable 2FA... Created another one yesterday, still no answers Such an impression that they do not care about their customers. The support service does not answer at all. I have the same problem

Please sell me an account of bittrex. Unable to register to Bittrex
You should post this in another thread, this is the thread for Bitfinex not for Bittrex. All these exchanges are having problems with the huge surge in user numbers. Especially the US-based exchanges now also have to verify the identity of all customers, which increases the workload for the staff even further.

Not really, but... As far as I remember there is a hint on some exchanges, you should backup the QR-code they show you during 2FA-setup. Maybe you have a backup somewhere and just don't remember?

In theory is it possible to recover BTC sent to Bitfinex BCH wallet?
I know there is recovery options with own wallets, i believe Bitfinex should also have generated wallet seed somewhere
I have tx and all related information.
So does Bitfinex support could help me? While 0.25 BTC i lost is pretty significant for me. I contacted them but still no response.
Thanks in advance.

You're spot on. In fact Bitfinex support is the only place to go. Bitfinex will have the private key for your BCH deposit address and can 'recover' your BTC by importing the same private key into their BTC wallet. This will involve various 'support levels' (the person answering emails will not have access to any private key) and manual work + busy times at the moment for support staff in cryptoland = it will take some time, but there is hope. Not sure about Bitfinex... but some exchanges ask for a 'recovery fee' as there is some work involved. Let us know if they ask for something like this, would be interesting. i posted also on reddit and found that a lot of other users have experienced the same situation, in most cases it is only a matter of time because they are literally inundated by this type of requests
Guess it's a opportunity to take a break from cryptoland until the support is catching up. Crossing my fingers they will reset your 2FA soon!

hey guys, new here, so reading a lot of bad review mostly about the exchange... Can you guys summarize what's bad and good about this exchange? I've been waiting for verification for weeks though. Can't get verified on bitstamp, GDAX, gemini as well. Anybody knows a reputable exchange to send fiat to buy crypto? Thanks for the help.

There's always a lot of people complaining about all the exchanges. Personally, I can say my of experience of Bitfinex has been without a problem. Right now it is almost impossible to get a new account verified on any exchange due to the massive spike in demand. https://cointelegraph.com/news/exponential-growth-cryptocurrency-exchanges-are-adding-100000-users-per-dayIf you want to get trading I would suggest buying Bitcoin through other means like localbitcoins.com or through the currency exchange board on this forum. Then you can use an unverified account to trade from, which is always what I've done as the international wire fees and currency conversion usually makes it cheaper.

Hi, overall Bitfinex is great, but support is very very slow, maybe because of tons of new users. The only place i was able to verify myself is Kraken, all my deposits and witdrawals went fine there. But trading there is real pain in the ass, real one! At least it was 1 month ago, but i still use it if FIAT is involved.

Thanks all for the replies, appreciate it. Yea, I'll wait for bitfinex verification and in the mean time going through localbitcoin. Kraken also have tons of bad reviews. I often got that 502 Error from the website. Got verified on CEX, but not sure on how reliable it is. So, never used it.. To me, I can't really find a reputable exchange to trust with so far, I guess that's the main problem in this crypto space.

Hi, when can you Bitfinex support verify my account? i am waiting too long, but still not verified.
This thread is no longer monitored by a Bitfinex representative so you will not achieve anything by posting here, unfortunately. Normally I would suggest r/BitcoinMarkets as the best place to try and contact them, but under present demand, I very much doubt that would help.
