Hello everyone, So a few updates about the current situation. If you did not know that, a major vulnerability was discovered on OpenSSL version that we were using. Our systems have been fixed. We have moved to Cloudflare while Incapsula do their job and fix their systems. This means that Chinese users can not access our platform for now. We are very sorry about this and hope to be able to switch back as soon as possible. All user sessions have been reset, which is why you got all logged out forcibly. Nothing to worry about with this. Our SSL certificates have been re-generated, just in case. You can now safely access Bitfinex again. Considering that this vulnerabilities was open for 2 years, we strongly suggest that you reset your password here: https://www.bitfinex.com/user/edit No hot wallets or sensitive access was compromised, as those information/systems are not on our front-end servers. We will enable back withdrawals within a few hours, but we want to make sure everyone secure their account before that. Security comes first Thank you for your understanding and have a good day Raphael Bitfinex team

Can you please change the format of your password change design.
It is so confusing.
Every site uses this standard:
Old password New password Confirm new password

TwinWinNerd, we will. To everyone, We have re-enabled Incapsula with a new SSL certificate. We have re-enabled withdrawals. However, all users who have a pending withdrawals will need to confirm it by sending us an email at support@bitfinex.comSo far, no malicious withdrawals seems to have happened, as either 2-factor authentication or email confirmations allowed you to prevent/cancel them for the few accounts that got compromised. This is a very good thing. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep even lower than usual amount on our hot wallets (so bear with us if your withdrawals are delayed in the following hours). Have a good day Raphael

It says "password" and "password confirmation" right below these fields... The password changing system is not standard and confusing. I tried typing in my old password in the two fields...

We are aware that the password form is far from perfect, it will be improved shortly. On another note, those who have issues verifying their audit information balance can contact us at support@bitfinex.com. Raphael

Hear ye, Hear ye ! Whatever doubts I might have had Regarding BitFinex's Support have been diseminated today by: Raphael CTO Bitfinex team First my 2FA for some reason was not working, and he quickly applied a Fix to that, secondly, Qt-Trader had SSL cert problems, and he also quickly "Fixed" / Resolved that also, incredible. I'm here to say that "Raphael" is one "Sharp" cookie. Keep up the "Good Work", we most surely "Appreciate" you ! Seriously ! Thank-You,

My 'swap payment' appears to be significantly (~20%) short this morning. Rates haven't dipped that much, and my funds have been fully lent throughout the prior day.
Is there an issue with swap payments related to the security issues yesterday??
Anyone else see discrepancy with their swap payment this morning?

I see the same in my history, swap payments lower than previous days, no changes have been made to my open swaps. Let's wait till tomorrow and give the Bitfinex team the chance to correct the discrepancies.

Just reposting question to Bitfinex team: Have you considered using Ripple network as one of the ways to process deposit/withdrawals and to transfer funds between system users, by system users? If not, what are the drawbacks here in your opinion? Bitstamp for instance uses Ripple and in fact, Bitstamp actually is using it instead of the "code", which they used to do. Of note, BTC-e is still using codes. Bitfinex doesn't use any.

I answered this already the last time, they know about it, they investigated, they likely have other priorities right now though.

Can anyone explain me how the swap return calculations work?
Description Credit Debit Balance Date Swap Payment on wallet deposit 0.00005263 2.00014127 09 Apr 02:30 Swap Payment on wallet deposit 0.00006648 2.00008864 08 Apr 02:37 Swap Payment on wallet deposit 0.00002216 2.00002216 07 Apr 02:36
The first one is low because it was posted around 18:00 so only 6 hours left in the day but why are the numbers different for the 8th and the 9th.
percentage was 0.0039 for 3 days.

Hi everyone, As you noticed the swap payment of last night was less than it should have (19 hours out of 24). So all of you that are concerned have just received the missing interests directly into their default wallet (generally the "trading" wallet). You can verify it in your history. Please accept our apologies for this. For the traders that enjoyed a free ride, good for you, we won't charge you the missing interests The underlying problem has been correct so tonight interests will be correct. On other news, you will see in the Withdraw page that we added the possibility for you to lock a withdrawal address for Bitcoin or Litecoin, by checking the relevant checkbox "Lock withdrawal address". If you do, you will not be able to withdraw to any other address. Please note that to modify a locked withdrawal address, you will have to contact us. Let me know if you have any more questions and have a good day Raphael Bitfinex team

Personally I would love to because I find Ripple amazing, but as you say we have to prioritize things. Hopefully it will be done within a few months. Thank you Raphael

Comments on the recent changes:
1.) The colored background behind the offers and demands is terrible 2.) The new total number of swaps column that is collecting a running total is kind of cool, just not sure how valuable it is when each contract can be for a different duration 3.) Centering numbers looks terrible, please right justify them so the proper numbers all line up, also comma separate. 3548327.74 is much tougher to read than 3,548,327.74
Feature request: please add a clickable + when there are multiple offers at the same rate so we can see how much at each duration is offered.

i'm afraid I must agree here it doesn't look the best On a side note, can someone explain the different color tones in the order/lend books? I'v seen the different tones for a while but I've never figured out what they represent... maybe it's just me but I can't figure it out Nice to see that offer and demand in the swap pages have been switched, so bid and ask are on the same sides as in the order books. It makes all books more uniform, nice.

+1 It would be great to see the individual offers and not lump them all in one. Comments on the recent changes:

The api does provide them, if you just want to see them http://charts-bfxdata.rhcloud.com sows all offers/demands separately in the tables.
