I would like to start trading on bitfinex, but I need a transactions api. /mytrades is a start, but what I really want is the full info about a transaction including any trading fees paid, and also the full set of transactions including transfers in/out; basically anything affecting my balance.
All of the other major exchanges (bitstamp, btce, kraken, btcchina) have this in some form.

+1 It would be great to see the individual offers and not lump them all in one. Comments on the recent changes:
1.) The colored background behind the offers and demands is terrible 2.) The new total number of swaps column that is collecting a running total is kind of cool, just not sure how valuable it is when each contract can be for a different duration 3.) Centering numbers looks terrible, please right justify them so the proper numbers all line up, also comma separate. 3548327.74 is much tougher to read than 3,548,327.74
Feature request: please add a clickable + when there are multiple offers at the same rate so we can see how much at each duration is offered.
+1 The 'change' with lending table is a retrograde, difficult to read and without any formatting. The Offer/Demand column has been 'inverted', whilst the button colors remains unchanged. E.g Offer Swap button is Green while Offer column background is now Red. Much confusion!

How Ripple Rips you: "The founders of Ripple Labs created 100 billion XRP at Ripple's inception. No more can be created according to the rules of the Ripple protocol. Of the 100 billion created, 20 billion XRP were retained by the creators, seeders, venture capital companies and other founders. The remaining 80 billion were given to Ripple Labs. Ripple Labs intends to distribute and sell 55 of that 80 billion XRP to users and strategic partners. Ripple Labs also had a giveaway of under 200 million XRP (0.002% of all XRP) via World Community Grid that was later discontinued.[29] Ripple Labs will retain the remaining 25 billion"

This is the page I was looking at, it does not include a transaction api call as far as I can see. This is a fee schedule, what I need is to know exactly what fee I paid, down to the penny/satoshi, on each individual trade. Sure I could estimate it, but my fee tier might change and I'd have to dynamically calculate that, plus there could be rounding differences between bitfinex's calc and mine.. suffice to say I'd like to know what the fee amount that was actually charged on each transaction. Not sure which announcement you're trying to point out here. If this capability exists and I just haven't found it, please point me to it. Thanks.

Before I open a support ticket can anyone explain why if I have an open position on margin that is fully covered by my current wallet balance that when I just made a BTC deposit I wasnt able to move the whole of that deposit from my margin wallet to deposit wallet?
Use exchange section to trade without margin. Margin section will always borrow fund for you even if you have the money to cover the position. You misunderstand, I had an open position which was fine and it was on margin borrowing USD, I just deposited X BTC to my account all fine again. However I then went to move exactly X BTC that I had deposited and it would not let me move the whole lot instead it took a portion and added that into the BTC in my margin wallet and allowed me to remove the rest to the swaps wallet...

I would like to be able to send and receive coins and USD between two separate accounts on Bitfinex. Would it be possible to add an internal transfer feature?
Peace.

I don't think it would be hard to implement, just check if the withdrawal BTC address is in the database, if yes, just transfer internally, instead of blockchain. Like gox used to do.

There is nothing to implement. You "withdraw" BTC from one account to the deposit address of another. Done. For USD transfers, BTC-e uses so-called "codes" and Bitstamp took it a step further and is using Ripple network. On Ripple you can even trade Bitstmp USD for anything else. Bitfinex does not yet have this feature.

Your position probably went in excess of the 2.5:1 leverage, therefore a portion of your additional deposit went to cover that.

Im on 2:1 leverage and I had more than enough BTC to cover my long down to like $50 lol. This definately shouldnt have happened, will open a ticket. Thanks.

I know it's probably for security reasons. But an API call to handle moving money between wallets would be nice.

Can we have the option of generating READ-ONLY keys? Or even better, granular ACLs, like a key that allows swap operations but not trading, etc. That would instantly enable a whole ecosystem of connected services using the Bitfinex API.

Question to the Bitfinex pros (I'm an on/off trader there myself, but not much lately)... Is there a way to see "pure" finex volume anywhere? I.e. only those trades not routed to stamp? Because, unless I'm mistaken, pages like http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/ show the combined volume of internal and external volume under Bitfinex.

Not sure which Bitcoin wallet you should use? Get Electrum!Electrum is an open-source lightweight client: fast, user friendly, and 100% secure. Download the source or executables for Windows/OSX/Linux/Android from, and only from, the official Electrum homepage.

Because, unless I'm mistaken, pages like http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/ show the combined volume of internal and external volume under Bitfinex. With around 15mln in active swaps (which btw reflects only open long positions on margin), my feeling is that Bitfinex does not even have/need Bitstamp routing of orders any more. So, what you see on price charting sites in terms of the traded volume, is probably what it is internally, but I can be wrong.

Does the closing of Chinese exchange accounts affect Bitfinex in any way ? I don't think so.
For all of u still wondering This was already asked and answered by bitfinex here: Hello everyone, Since we have a lot of questions after the news from China, here is our answer: We are Hong-Kong based. Furthermore, the bank account we used for deposit is in Pudong, which is a special economic zone of China ("charter zone"). You can read more about it here: http://www.chinatravel.com/shanghai-attraction/pudong-special-economic-zone/ This zone does not follow the same rules than mailand China especially for financial matters. As such, we are not operating inside China, the accounts in the Shanghai special economic zone are off-shore, therefore technically outside China. Aside from that we also have accounts in Hong Kong, with most of the funds, so operations will not be affected by changes in China. I hope this clears out questions you may have, Let me know if you have any more questions Best regards Raphael

hy, tradable_balance is not decreased according to the amount of open orders. as one is not allowed to place orders exceeding the tradable_balance, wouldnt it be logical to decrease tradable_balance according to amount in open margin orders? (analog to the balance on exchange beeing decreased because of open orders).
how it is, one has to compute how much of the margin is left for orders, when an order is open and cannot rely on tradable_balance, or do i miss something?. thx
