Hi guys, I just want to know your views and opinion about the difference in Electronic Money (Bitcoin and others) and the Physical Money. Many people now a days are still confuse about the existence of the Bitcoin and how it differ from our Physical Money that we are using to buy necessity. I hope we could share and learn from each other.  Wink Smiley

Bitcoin is a digital currency in which the complete meaning can be see in google or internet but for the different usage between these two currencies i have the two most important.
1. Bitcoin is most convenient to use in which we could bring  it anywhere and use it anytime even in case of emergency we can use it instantly in which we can cash out even thru banks ATM and exchanges. Unlike actual money you need to bring it all the times to be spend.
2. Bitcoin is the most safest to use because it is not safe to bring money on the streets in which it might lost it to bad guys unlike            bitcoin you only bringing username and password.

I think that both forms are money are now revolving in society but talking about future, which one will take over the economy is bit impossible because both have their pros and cons..physical currency is where give the more acceptance in society.  But the electronic money is also coming with ace.  People now prefer more and more electronic money than physical money.  Electronic money has multiple benefits they come with. Electronic money has so many advantages like easy transaction and there is no involvement of third person.  Easy transfer of money and you don't need to carry your purse you just need to remember your password.

Digital currency can easily be transferred from one acct to the other and from one place to the other.  That what makes digital currency more useful but in a limited purposes only unlike with the physical money you can use it everywhere.

The only understanding of a 'electronic' money makes this as simpliest as may be.
An electronic money is just a method of wiring of real money.
Someone may tell, a BTC an electronic money. But it's not.
The heart of BTC is located on each blockchain part wallets, which need to be synchronized between every new
wallet.
This shows, that BTC is not a money it'a data, that have a value.
Let's get closer to problem.... Why BTC price growing ?
Did someone, who's now investing in ETH, recognized, that only Bitcoin connected to fiat world ?
Ok. I may tell about about a an unreal kind of projects, which ready to be paid in BTC...
Please, give me a projects or ICO's I may invest from bank card Huh I'm waiting for reply, because, if you don't know, you're a not currently understand a future of tokens and coins.

This has always been talked about here and the proper and technical term to use is cryptocurrency and fiat currency. But your term also is accepted which the name itself explains or describes it already.

Basically they are bot money. The difference is that cryprocurrenct or Bitcoin are not regulated by any central bank or government because no country owns it also. And the transaction is through codes and it can be an anonymous transactions. Unlike fiat money, it is regulated by a central bank per country and transactions may be monitored.

Both of this are the same in the since, we use it to buy product and services. It only differs that Crypo/bitcoin is not regulated yet by the government as legal tender. Physical money dough is very helpful on areas that technology is not yet fully utilize especially on remote areas.

for me the electronic money and money same same physical can be used but only the shape is different. If electronic money you can bring wherever practical walupun, in large quantities, and you can use a wide variety of transactions in just one card but there's a limit of the number of their use in a certain period of time. If the physical money you can use time and whenever you need it just isn't recommended bring excessive because it would invite crime.

I think if the concept of e-fiat has been implemented, then the government will apply the system of active period and maintenance cost on a regular basis, everything becomes commercial and unattractive, I think bitcoin should not get active intervention in the wallet system. we are not burdened with such problems in the future.

For me, bitcoin or cryptocurrency is much better, but we are gonna need more new technologies to support a world where cryptocurrency is gonna be used as the main tool for payment. But, we can never neglect that bitcoin is being given all these attention by most of its user because its price is convertable in fiat currency, and its convertion rate is very high. I think at the back of bitcoins success, fiat money is the reason.

Physical and electronic money both are now part of economy.
Though both are financial instruments, but it has quite different  used. Fiat or paper money is used daily in our daily needs from groceries, food transportation and many more while bitcoin is mostly on online transactions. We are not well connected digitally where we can used bitcoin for anything.Possibly in the future it will happen.
honestly i prefer bitcoin over money because in bitcoins you can earn something plus it has many uses and cool features compared to money but money is still the king of currency and it wont replace by something digital. money is easy to use without cables or internet connection and anyone of all ages can use it without or lesser knowledge.

Basic Difference:
Crypto currencies:
1. NO physical form
2. NO weight at all (electronic)
3. NO geographical restriction
4. Many form of uses
5. Decentralized (Cannot be control by person or institutions)

Fiat:
1. Touchable and having physical form
2. Weight defends on the amount (The Amount of $ 6,000 would have in 100 Dollar Notes a weight of 60.00 g (2.12 oz) http://1000000-euro.de/how-much-does-a-million-dollars-weigh/index.php#weigh-dollar
3. mostly limited to its own country.
4. Centralize Control by the country government

There's a lot more difference between the two.

Bitcoin or cryptocurrency which I can not call Electronic Money at this time,

because until now many countries that do not allow Bitcoin or Altcoin as a means of payment legitimate,

so until now I still think Bitcoin is like Gold, we are looking for Bitcoin or Altcoin then we sell in the market for Physical Money, this my opinion Grin

Cryptocurrency can be use all over the world while the physical money can be use in the country where it is recognized as the legal tender of payment. Regarding transactions, people can directly send money no matter the value without the need of intermediary while in physical money, you need to go to banks because they are usually the ones holding your money especially if it is significant but in crypto you are the bank itself. Nowadays, physical money is acceptable every where while cryptocurrency has limitations as many still don't recognized it yet as payment option.

Physical money will stay for a long time as many small countries still depend on it. Even if we don't include bitcoin or virtual currency, many people are still very suspicious about signing up for credit cards virtual checking / savings accounts. Both will continue existing for a long time.

Electronic money or BTC are more like an asset than a form of payment, bitcoin has becoming more and more growing and rising because of its high demand, thus bitcoin is not wise to be spend but instead hold it and see it as an asset. Electronic money are more like a gold that has promising future. On the other hand Physical money is more like to be use as a payment for good a and services. Fiat are easy to use and transaction free.

Physical money or cash still what i prefer. We've been using this system for centuries. I don't think it will be vanish. Electronic money requires technology in able to use. Bitcoin for example. Bitcoin needed internet in able send and receive bitcoin. I don't think it's a convenient way for paying someone especially when peer 2 peer like groceries for example. Physical money does not require technology to buy or pay someone. You just have to give the cash. That it. The reason is because it has a physical appearance. But it will be better if both technology and cash merge together. Like credit and debit cards. This is the best example of technology and cash work together.

Cash will stay. No matter what innovations has happen to money. We still need physical form than money without physical form.

Electronic money can only be accessed with internet connection, and you cannot touch it because it has no physical form. It is used by people around the world and it has a wide coverage of area that can access it. Physical money was first used by everyone and it changes its form depending what country you are in. Also, it is only limited to the country where you are and its value has no chance to rise or fall; it is fixed.

I think you forgot about inflation Grin the physical money do not change in value a $1000 will always be $1000. However because of inflation as time pass by. The real value of your money will decrease like for example today we can buy 2 apple for $4 but in the coming years we can only buy 1 apply for $4.

The difference is huge, electronic money are available everywhere, the transactions are much more faster, because you dont have to go to that person.
Majority afraids of Bitcoin because they feel the change which is bringing by the canopy. Also the anonymity is important for some people and this is exacly feature of the digital money also. So people should definitely choose electronic money, but for better secure keep few for yourself.

Well in every sense electronic money is ahead of the physical money but the  physical money comes in handy when you go to the country or village where there is no electricity or computer to process online payments.
