Future of DogeCoin

Doge is popular  in spite of it's market decline! In crypto currency, never say never! I have seen price of a coin move from 1sat to 200! reddcoin is an example of that! And i have also seen blocknet that is trading in 400k sat was once trading @4k sat when bitcoin was lower in value.

In all likelihood the infinite supply is going to lead to the finite life of this coin yes - however its still has a purpose. Joke coin or not its its easily obtainable, easily traded and still has a community of people who believe in the concept. And while "to the moon" is well and truly never happening, I still put more trust in this coin than many other coins. Still would I invest long in it? No - a month ago it was worth about 40sats, and today its under 20sats. If it keeps halving in value its not going to last out the year.
It'd be awesome to see it bounce back though.

I Have No Idea about the Dogecoin!

Dogecoin has no future (except for jokes and memes). The coin has an insane amount of inflation and there is no work being done by the dev's on its code, so it gets more and more obsolete with every new coin that hits the market with new features and solutions.

The inflation will be forever and this just about the matter of the time until the bomb of the inflation will try to kill the doge coin itself. many people said about that and those are buying doge will regret it.

I was big fan of Dogecoin and get decent profit from it but now it is slowly going downward and making new lows every week which is negative sign for any coin. No one can predict future but if we will invest now then we can expect profit from it as it is bottoming out now.

Yesterday one of my friend sent me some dogecoins, so out of curiosity i started digging information about how this coin work and how it is different from others as it is my first interaction with this Crypto-asset.

I found some interesting information regarding how it's origin is based on a popular internet meme and it's community active participation in various charity works and even in helping their fellow mates who lost their dogecoins in a cyberattack through various crowdfunding efforts, which is indeed appreciable.

If we specifically talk about speed of transactions - i have to say dogecoin is indeed fast. But the thing which caught my attention is there is no limit to its suppy, which means it is present in infinite amount.

Till today more than 100 billion dogecoins are in circulation. With as of today Oct-23-2017 , 1 DOGE =   $0.00101075 .
We have been taught about price-supply-demand things in school , in simple terms a price of an asset will depend on demand in market and its suppy - if supply of an asset is more than demand price falls and if supply is less and demand in market is more then price of an asset increases. So we can relate this to the continous BTC price increase as demand for bitcoin is more and supply is limited which increases it's value.
Comming to the fact that dogecoins have no limit of supply i hardly think it can ever become an investment asset or a stable currency ever. I see some people on twitter who are investing in alt coins see it as an long investment on which i completely disagree.

If we want to see doge coin really succeed , here are my views what the developers should seriously take note of:

1. Limit its Supply:

 More than 100 billion doge coins are in circulation with market cap of approx. USD 13.5 MIL . 100 billion is a big number and it's always increasing so unless community decide to limit it , i donot think it can attain any significant value in longterm.

2. Ok if we limit it - what will we do with existing coins?:

Solution to above problem is quite simple. We just need to publish a new Crypto-token or currency which will derive it's value from previous currency in circulation. For Ex: Let the new currency be called Super Dogecoin denoted by S-DOGE. As per our convenience we can set it's base value like 1 S-DOGE could be equal to 1000 or 10K or say even 100k DOGEs . So not just it will decrease the numbers of coin but will also hold significant value. And this new currency could also be listed to the exchange if needed.

It seems like dogecoin will lose its future because it can not compete with other altcoins. The first doge appears very convincing for some things, for some time also the doge is great, but the fact is now the price of doge continues to fall and very worried, I fear if the doge will lose the market.

Dogecoin is a coin used for tipping. Widely used in reddit. It doesn't get any further than that. It was a meme coin, had its peak, it's the first tipping coin infact. Don't expect it to grow huge, because it won't. All I do with dogecoin is have fun with it, because it has no real purpose after all.

Wondering how people are looking at different coins in different perspectives. I always believed that if the coin is not having a real use then there is no point in investing in it. The coin is developed with principle role of carrying some function regarding the project. With digecoin it’s function was to tip others. I believe a tip can’t do anything more than a penny investment. Hope to see someone develop it to more than that as it is so easy to hold lots of dogecoins. Good for future.

It is not popular and not used by so many people also the ex changers are not provided to exchange Dogecoins. If they are circulating again and again that means it has to disappear. A limit in coins is the best, but manufacturing unit is worse and unable to trade in the market.

I think Lite coin is better than Dogecoin as some exchanger's are accepting them here in our country.

Dogecoin is a classic coin and there is no development, most we use as a collection only or we use as tipping. I don't think there is future for Dogecoin.

If you want to make any changes in dogecoin and publish it than you can do it yourself as dogecoin is open source so anybody can come up with their own version of dogecoin clone. Alternatively you can also airdrop ETH token to all dogecoin holder by taking snapshot of dogecoin block and rewarding s-doge to all who want to claim.

Main point is how you gonna continue development and how you gonna increase support + demand for that new coin.

Often I draw attention to this coin on the exchange. Very strange movements, similar to the barcode. Somewhere down, then up sharply. I did not understand how you can earn money on it, how do you practice stop-loss?

The inflation is actually the reason the coin has lasted so long!

Basically, if you want a deflationary coin, you would choose bitcoin.

The trouble with deflationary coins is that people hoard them - which is why bitcoin has turned into a speculative asset, but no-one is using it to buy things. So one of Satoshi's dreams - that bitcoin would replace the banking system, VISA, western union etc, has not come to pass, because people simply arn't using it as a currency.

However, they're happy to use doge, because it's inflationary. If you had $1000 of bitcoin and $1000 of dogecoin, and then came across say a nice car that you could only buy with cryptocurrency, then you'd use doge.

The inflationary aspect is also the reason people tip with doge rather than with bitcoin. You can tip small amounts without high fees, and people don't feel a psychic pain when they give it away.

It's for this reason I reckon that doge will actually the place of a currency, while bitcoin will be digital gold.

Doge is abandoned by it's developers, still it has more real world use when compared to other altcoins. Doge is one of the most used coin in cryptoworld in terms of tipping and in gambling as well since it is not expensive and is easier to gamble with because of it's fast and cheap transactions. It is also accepted as payment by some merchants and uses the services of shapeshift and similar services to accept it easily. As long as there is someone using it, doge won't be gone and for this reason it has survived for a long time.

I think if we remove doge from gambling sites and tipping(i don't think this is important use of any coin, not only dogecoin) it will most likely die.

I think dogecoin is a good coin with its own community, but if you invest, don't do it with the intentions of making profit since it will never reach $0.5 any time soon, whether you hold for long or short term. I will have to agree with you that there is too much supply, it would be wise if the developers decide to burn a few billions. Probably, the value might begin increasing, its been around for quite some time, a lot of altcoins launched this year are worth more than it.
