I think 40% you invest in lite coin you should use it to trade coin for you to earn more then your money will stay quiet and earn quite a short time.

Hello guys! I am planning on investing all my savings (12500$) in cryptocurrency, so I would really like to hear your opinion. My current plan is to split it in to 3 :
-50% bitcoin.
-25% ethereum.
-25% litecoin.

I am investing the money at the next dip.
Please post your opinion guys.

Edit: I should mention that this is for a longtherm hold, about 5-10 years

Sorry for my bad english, but I am better reading it than writing it.. :p
I think investing all of your savings is good and very great decision you can made, but my advice for you is invest the 60% of your money with bitcoin because the price of bitcoin is cheap and the 30% is you can invest with ethereum and the remaining 10% is you can invest with waves.

This sounds like a good idea. I think with what's happening now that online currencies are really trendy. It is wise to consider and do investment on them. However, I just think that you shouldn't spend all the money that you have on investments. You should also leave some for yourself in case of emergencies.

I think that was not good option you bet and your savings may take a risk and theres a potential that you may lose your savings too but theres a potential that your investments may double or more in the future. But for me investing all your savings is like a big gamble for me.

This is not a good idea. Investing all your savings in Bitcoin can be dangerous. You never know what happens in this world of Virtual currency. Go for a diverse portfolio. Invest your savings in multiple heads which will give you the advantage of sharing the loss if the market crashes. Besides, losing in one business will not pose any type of danger to another business. Invest a specific amount in Bitcoin because it is a promising business.

I think that is not good idea all your savings is you invest in this currency because we dont know the future of it but if the cryptocurrency will grow up you can get a profit but its very risky to do it.cryptocurrency is very dangerous if your all savings will invest because theres posibilities your savings will loss but if cryptocurrency will last in 10 years i think your savings will double or triple profit but its risky.

I think investing all your savings is not good idea. I suggest you that only invest 30-40% of your savings. Holding bitcoin, etherium and litecoin are all good for longterm investment because they have a high potential.

In my opinion, I dont think investing all your savings is a good idea. We all know that the price of coins is not stable, so better not invest all. Or if it is okay with you, you would be taking a big amount of risks. You might lose or only gain lower than what you expected.

Fortunately for this guy, everything turned out well. He invested in October 2017, when the exchange rate of BTC was only around $4,000 per coin. BTC investment has given him around 70% returns, while the LTC/ETH investments have given a higher percent return. It was a brave decision to invest using all the savings. But in the end, it turned out to be a wise decision.

I was in the same position and wanted to invest all my savings but thank god something told me not too

and this was before the big crash! I would have all my assets blocked by the deep and couldn’t travel and pay for most of my expanses

so thank god I didn’t go all in! I still believe in the crypto market but gotta always be careful!

Very good plan if you want to invest it in 5-10 years. The coins you choose are also all coins of my choice. So I really agree if you want to invest it in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. But I want to suggest for you. If you can not invest all your savings on cryptocurrency. Although the benefits are large the risks are also greater. So you can set aside your money for you to save in the Bank if there is something we do not want. You still have savings in the Bank.

Investing all your savings is not a wise decision. Things do happen and when they happen, where would you lean on, who is going to carry you? If you have back up like inheritance parents etc. You can go ahead otherwise save for raining day.

Investment for long term is a good decision and after five to six years the value of investment will make you wealthy and with this currency you will do a lot in the crypto world bitcoin is good for now and for those who have this currency they can also invest in bitcoin and altcoin because in the present time it is good to hold paper money with crypto as well because soon the crypto will change the people from paper money to the crypto money.

You have to consider in the worst case is to lose or become worthless, although I will agree and want to invest. There, my golden rule is never to invade more than you can afford to release. I do not know how important your safety is to you or about the value of your savings

Haha, No problems. I would like to know your ideas than reading your writing.
I also have some opinions about this.
SO, How Much Should I Save Versus How Much Should I Invest?

Saving money should almost always come before investing money. Think of it as the foundation upon which your financial house is built.

The reason is simple. Unless you inherit a large amount of wealth, it is your savings that will provide you with the capital to feed your investments. If times get tough and you require cash, you'll likely be selling out your investments at the worst possible time. That is not a recipe for getting rich.

There are two primary types of savings programs you should include in your life. They are:

     - As a general rule, your savings should be sufficient to cover all of your personal expenses, including your mortgage, loan payments, insurance costs, utility bills, food, and clothing expenses for at least six months. That way, if you lose your job, you’ll be able to have sufficient time to adjust your life without the extreme pressure that comes from living paycheck to paycheck.
     - Any specific purpose in your life that will require a large amount of cash in five years or less should be savings-driven, not investment-driven. The stock market in the short-run can be extremely volatile, losing more than 50 percent of its value in a single year. Purchasing a home is a great example as we discussed in Best Places To Invest Your Down Payment Money.

Only after that these things are in place, and you have health insurance, should you begin investing (this really is vital — for more information on the reasons, read Investing in Health Insurance – One of the First Lines of Defense for Your Portfolio. The only possible exception is putting money into a 401(k) plan at work if your company matches your contributions. That’s because not only will you get a substantial tax break for putting money into your retirement account, but the matching funds basically represent free cash that is being handed to you on a silver tray and there are material bankruptcy protections in place for assets held within such an account should you be wiped out entirely.)

HI there, my golden rule is never to invetst more than you can afford to loose!

I do not know about how imporntant your safings are to you or about the value of your savings but you should consider in worst(most worst) case it is gon e or nealry worthless,
even though I would agree on the divison of the CC's you'd like to invest in.

Good luck anyway!

Investing all my savings is never advisable, you don't put all your eggs in the same crate. Anything could happen that one would loose such money. If need be, split the money into parts for investment or use a percent for investment.

I think its better if you just invest haft of your savings into some other investments to make sure the risk is small.
