What will happen if people just stop buying bitcoin? Will bitcoin be as usable as now Or will it be a step towards the end?

How will the market value react to it, people wanting to sell bitcoin but there is no one to buy.
I still do not know what will happen if people stop buying Bitcoin because at this moment, I cannot see tough reasons why people will just stop buying Bitcoin because they can see that it is essential and beneficial to buy and have. Maybe if people will just stop buying Bitcoin, the price will of course drop into something because the price will also drop that will possibly make this cryptocurrency unvaluable because it will lose its worth and people might just tend to waste this after all.

I think everyone wants to buy and store bitcoin because of its value and potential. However, until the transaction price is too slow + expensive and people do not find a solution to improve the system, then perhaps cryptoworld will offer a solution for consensus that will use a digital alternative gold based on the more modern Blockchain technology.
Then we can change the bitcoin to a new token with the equivalent value.

For traders it may be that they are currently seeing a high Bitcoin price, not not buying but they are definitely waiting to buy Bitcoin when the Bitcoin price is down by observing the Bitcoin graph first before they buy Bitcoin.

If no one is interested in purchasing bitcoin at this time, the bitcoin price will drop dramatically and other cryptoes such as Ethereum, bitcoincash will replace the bitcoin position.

I think if the people stop buying bitcoin the volume on the market will going down and there is a chance that the price of bitcoin will dropped to $0. On the other hand, if they stop ln buying it would have a negative in market and I think the market will crash.

What will happen is
0$ 24 Hours market Volume, Bitcoin Prices will going down and the worst is bitcoin be inactive even disappear.

Don't worry, I think it is impossible because because 0 volume can't exist. This can happen on exchange only. People use and buy/sell without exchange, local too

I agree with you but this is very unlikely because the Cryptocurency market is heavily dependent on Bitcoin, if no Bitcoin buyer is sure this market is hard to survive and could be the end of. the entire Crypto market

Even if people are not buying at this moment, they will most probably buy when the price drops because of the low demand. On the other hand, if they are waiting for the price to climb so they can sell big, that won't happen if there is no demand.

Bitcoin is like a product or service..if others don't find it useful to them..then bitcoin will be like product that is no longer useful..like a junk..but let's not think in that way..lets find new way to make useful again..

Im still shocked by this thread and discussion being started by a 500 post member in here.. This is like.. the fundamental of any given market, and obv in crypto.. demand and supply - if demand drops to zero, do the math.. I mean, OP cant possibly be serious about this, can he..?

I am too awesome to even do Signature campaigns.

if people stop buying bitcoin then bitcoin would be worthless, and maybe that's the end of bitcoin, but I do not think that will happen because bitcoin is getting popular and more and more people are using and buying bitcoin

My granny was interested in having a flutter with $100 on bitcoins so I told her
how she would lose 3.99% with Coinbase converting cash to BTC and she understood
why she need to use her own wallet in case the exchange went down.

Smart granny she is !

Well when I told her it would then cost $25 and maybe as high as $55 to send
these high speed digital token from Coinbase to her private wallet due to crazy miner
transactions fees and it might take hours she looked at me, grabbed her walking stick
and then banged me over the head saying "I told your mother, nothing good will ever come from you"

I would had argued back but my mum on my advise had purchased $1000 worth of BTC last month
so the $45 rip-off transaction fee at the time didn't effect her too much but then the priced dropped
$5,000 due to high fees (nothing to do with South Korea) and now she won't answer the phone when
I call !

Moral of the story is not to advise friends and family in after the train has left the station

if everyone has stopped selling with bitcoin, it means the bitcoin will be finished. but that would not be possible, as the bitcoin price increases every day, of course everyone is very interested in bitcoin.

If people stop buying btc then btc will die. People will stop only buying if it is not profitable and buying a btc is against the law.

Down loading movies using Bit-Torrent and using Mag256 boxes is illegal but it's not stopping
too many people because it offers value for money

Bitcoin is not value for money due to the transaction fees, it's committed suicide and is laying in bed looking unwell
just now and if the doctors can save it's life then it will be condemned to the nut house, damage is already done, all
trust has gone.

Underground currency will always exist in the form of silver or gold coins as well as digital coins
but Bitcoin will not be part of that mix.

So as Bitcoin dropped from $20k to todays $14k it was going up each day ?

I agree tulips in 1634 had bad weeks too but BTC won't scale and logic dictates that something that has
already gone up 10,000% cannot compete with a similar product that has only gone up 1,000% and
not only works faster but has close to zero fees like BTC had just a year ago.

Quote
of course everyone is very interested in bitcoin.

Then why has the price been trading sideways or downwards and my granny was not interested once
she found out that her gambling fund of $100 would be eaten up by $25 in fees just to enter the casino
and hit again if she was left with any winnings to take back out the door.

Sorry Sir but I am good at maths and I cannot make your numbers add up even if I throw
logic out of the window.

What will happen if people just stop buying bitcoin? Will bitcoin be as usable as now Or will it be a step towards the end?

How will the market value react to it, people wanting to sell bitcoin but there is no one to buy.
From my perspective if individuals quit purchasing BTC it wont impact the typical exchanging or financial specialists additionally who holding won't influence that much just the BTC mining just going to be inefficient so the rate of BTC will be steady not going to drop radically or Hike in the rate wont be normal starting at now. So Still BTC will exist just with more solid and steady player of cryptographic money.

for me bitcoin will decrease the cost when no one buys it but does not mean they never buy a bitcoin. because while buying a bitcoin its price is increasing so it is impossible that they stop buying their bitcoin because they know they will get a lot when they sell a bitcoin that is high enough, so they just have to wait to rise its price

If all people stop buying Bitcoin and hold it, the Bitcoin price will rise sharply as long as no one sells Bitcoin they own. All people hold it for long periods of time, and the price will keep rising,

Bitcoin's so called dominant value exist merely because people are willing to buy it. If anyone would be against the idea of buying bitcoins that means no one will even accept bitcoin as a means of payment. This merely means the end of bitcoin and its value. A demandless thing is nothing more than valueless.
