What will happen if people just stop buying bitcoin? Will bitcoin be as usable as now Or will it be a step towards the end?
How will the market value react to it, people wanting to sell bitcoin but there is no one to buy.
Bitcoin's market directly affects its value, once people stops buying some bitcoins, its price will decrease drastically and possible to lose its value if it continued. There would be less circulation of bitcoin around the market and will cause infastructures around bitcoin to lose interest on it since no one is already using it. Theoretically, it could be possible to happen but since we all know that bitcoin is just getting started, it is not possible for it to happen during this time. |

If people stopped buying bitcoins, circulation of bitcoins will be cutoff and I guess bitcoins won't reach the places it will be reaching like some wallet of a bitcoin millionaire. Support will stop and then eventually bitcoins will lose value. The market for bitcoins will freeze and somehow fail because of the lack of support from the investors. Many of the impacts resulting from the cessation of people buying Bitcoin,this will be a problem for other altcoins because they are based on Bitcoin prices. I don't imagine it to happen if the price of Bitcoin has no meaning anymore. |

Dramatically , Bitcoin stucked in an ankward situation when the South Korean's goverment found out that Bitcoin is concerning to some big money laundering case. The number is about 600 millions dollars , a huge investigation was open and it dragged the destiny of Bitcoin's holder into hell with that . People stop buying Bitcoin cause of that scare, scare about the Legality of Bitcoin in the nearly future. |

Bitcoin is a relief for people especially common people and I don’t think so they will ever give up on bitcoin. The way bitcoin is helping them in meeting their financial demands, they are even ready to leave their hectic day jobs. Bitcoin has made the lives of masses easier and lavish. People have started accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment and I don’t think so that they will ever stop buying bitcoin. |

it is very sad talk! If by chance that there will be no one stop buying bitcoin then it will be totally not usable and no more value than what it was, because bitcoins value or price really determines the demand of the users who owns it. I don't think that it will happen right now and I don't think also that it will be because is the digital gold to be exact on this century in fact if you just hold or reserved it that would be a good asset because the future will lies in to a digital world, most people believe that the value of bitcoin should be higher than this so. If there is a big dip, expect more investor to get their hands on to get price back up and reach a new ATH. the people that dump it will buy it back at a higher price,jast wait and see in my opinion btc pice will be 30k+ in this year! the price will be difficult to rise again if people do not buy bitcoin, and just sell it. there will be no wheel spin, and no more demand on bitcoin.

I think there is very little chance that this is happening. Bitcoin transactions may be reduced for a while. But will not stop. A large number of people are earning through Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the main and only source of income for them. Therefore, they will continue to deal with Bitcoin for fulfilling their needs.

The price must be dump at the point that one person was satisfied to buy. The person who hold must sell it even at low price because he need or atleast he get money than waste. Actually the demand get lost and we do forget bitcoin but actually it is too hard to happen because everyday more people learn about this and bitcoin knowledge cannot remove from your memory because bitcoin knowledge cannot die cause it multiply. We have a different personality and perspective in life, once it pump too much, one person who invest on it so when the price pumps, he/she can get an easy money. |

People will not stop buying bitcoins because they know that buying bitcoins can maje profit in the future. The reason why the bitcoin becoming more popular is because of the value that is rapidly increasing.

Laws of economy, if demand is zero then price will go to zero, nobody needs to be super smart to know that. This will not happen to bitcoin in some near future, I am open for new things and maybe some alt can outshine bitcoin one day, bit that will not happen this or next ten years. Last year popularity of bitcoin was enormously high, because of that transactions were slow and fees were high, I wrote about that here and I said bitcoin progress will be slowed down because of all that. Now we are waiting for that lighting network and then bitcash and other cash coins will stay far behind bitcoin. Why use bitcoin, why exactly? There are many innovative cool blockchain platforms with their tokens, which are profitable to invest and useful to use. For example - SAFINUS ( https://www.safinus.com/) look at this ... that do u think? I don't wish to look at your token, find better place to advertise it, not BITCOINtalk forum, and section BITCOIN discussions. I don't remember I saw Safinus forum and their section, work on that couple years first and then come to advertise it, goodbye sucker. |

Not at all, if it becomes unprofitable people just turn the kit off, the difficulty gets slightly easier as less people are mining so equilibrium is restored.
Basically if everyone on earth stopped mining, then 1 person could be the only miner and it would be very easy to mine. The system works itself out naturally. There is no need to fear about miners stopping.

Instead of catastrophes, people do not do things at the same time. Each person has a different mindset, and reacts differently in an event. So some miners might stop, and other will continue, because difficulty will decrease, and mining with a computer will be profitable again. So I see no reason for everyone to stop mining Bitcoins.

If people would stop buying bitcoin maybe generating new bitcoin would be in stuck I mean bitcoin would stuck, it would simply means that bitcoin would regain again its value little by little. But the downside of it, bitcoin promotion would be somehow stopped because buying bitcoin is one of the way for bitcoin to be popular.
