If people stop buying bitcoin then the price of the coin will decrease and so if that happened and continued then bitcoin will be gone. That is a what if, but for me i don't think people will stop buying bitcoin. Bitcoin price is volatile that is why people are more likely to invest because there are more potential buyers of bitcoin when the price is down and when it goes up they will sell it and earn profit. People thinks it is a good way of investment since it is volatile and they believe that bitcoin will always recover after the dip.

There are different types of people in the world and some of them is treating cryptocurrency as an asset so they hold it for a very long time and earn profit as the time goes by and some are taking trading as a full time job because they want to earn profit daily and use it for living so bitcoin will not die and people will never stop buying.
