i think a main cause of accidents/road safety is the disregard of keeping an appropriate distance between each car/vehicle on the road.....mostly the main case is mentioned as the speed of a vehicle..but i think the speed is not the real problem, it's the distance to the car infront that needs to be appropriate.........besides that cause, i will also mention alcohol...drinking alcohol & drive is just stupid, many people underestimate the effect of alcohol...thats just sad.......

I think the main cause of accidents is lack of focus. It happens when a person has been driving for a long time. We always thought that we are good at it and we forgot the basics of driving. Our main goal is to get to our destination and we didn't anticipate that bad things can happen all the time. As a result, there are accidents that can be minimize if we stay focus. That is how simple it is but its very hard to do when the driver is thinking of something else than driving.

the hands of the driver, he's the one doing all the work and anticipation

If on the road i will say is reckless driver and pesdestrians. When the driver take the test for a driving license they will adhere to the rules & regulation on the road  and once they pass their test and on the road they will drive in another way. Pedestrians cross the road without looking out for the traffic.
Drink driving is another big concern for road accident.

Moat of the time, main cause of accidents in roads are because of reckless drivers. Drivers that are irresponsible amd hard headed in obeying the rules. They don’t check whether their vehicles are in the right condition before going on a road trip. Especially for public vehicles used by commuters, many bus accidents have been in the new because of too old busses and  some are fake/unregistered vehicles in the Land and Transportation Office. Here in my country the main cause of accidents are driving  while drunk and also sleepy, lot of car accidents are happening here because of that cause. We can reduce this kind of accidents by teaching people not to drive while drunk.
