Yes... In my place, this is the number one reason. Anyone with a SUV or car thinks that he is a member of the royal family, and the others should make way for him. Even if the police stops such people, they escape by paying $10 or $15 in bribes.

In my opinion, the main cause of accidents are LACK OF DISCIPLINES.. I mean, rules are rules.. if you obey the rules at all cost, it could decrease the numbers of accidents significantly.

In my opinion, and experience, i think the most common cause of accidents on the roads is actually people who think driving is a privilege. Driving was never a privilege, it is a responsibility. Once you get in a car and start it's engine, you're actually behind the wheel of a weapon that could cause harm and may also kill someone in the process. We should really think about it and be concious about it whebever we drive. We shouldn't do anything that takes us away from driving and actually take a close look at our cars if it is well maintained.

You may have observed that everyone is in hurry while on road. How many of you leave for for your work or college before time ? I think when someone is leaving for office/college at time then he/she would be in hurry that can also be a cause of accident. There is not even a single road where accident does not occur daily. Thousands of people die each year during these accidents. How can we reduce road accidents?
What are the main factors responsible for accidents in your country ? In my country mostly traffic signal violation.

I agree with those things you have stated above. In addition to that, there are a lot of other reasons why there are road accidents:
- texting while driving, recklessness, drunk driving, lack of driving education, not updated maintenance of the vehicles

It's hard to really reduce road accidents if there are violators here and there. But what we can do is to make sure that we are disciplined enough and ensure our safety at all times. Just always pray for protection during your travel and pray that you will get to and from your location safely.

In my country, those that I have mentioned and you have mentioned are factors in the accidents, but mostly because of those drunk drivers.
