Are people not bothered that these are not as efficient as the S9?
Not at all. ROI is based on how much you can make minus your costs. The price was significantly lower - so much lower, in fact, that the lower hash rate and increased electricity *still* make it basically match the profitability of the S9.

Assuming earnings are constant then the M3 earns $29.76 ($22.56 after electric costs), S9 is $35.02 ($30.26 after electric costs)
M3 costs $3840 including PSU, Shipping and VAT S9 costs $4158 including PSU, Shipping and VAT
M3 ROI is 170 days. S9 ROI is 137 days plus 58 days waiting so 195 days
However, I'm not sure why people just look at the ROI and not the long term profits. Assuming the earning are constant and the machines runs ok for a year.
The M3 makes $4399.20 profit after ROI and the S9 makes $5144.20 profit after ROI

For me it was 2 M3's for $3798.00 shipped with PSUs. They will be here ~ end of Feb. At the time I ordered the M3s S9s were not in stock. When they did become available it was $2320 + shipping + PSU $105 + shipping since they do not bundle and delivered end of March.
Easy decision for me.

M3 in stock is $3200 +20% UK VAT when it arrives, but you get to mine quicker.
The S9 was at $2320 on the 3rd January and 8th January

Except it doesn't work as you describe. The first time, it said there were 48 in stock. Added one to my cart, and a pop up said they were out of stock.
So I Went back and looked at the item again. It STILL said 48 in stock.
Same thing the second time, but fewer were in stock. Less than 30. Got it into my cart, then proceeded to checkout, filled out the form, clicked submit, and THEN it said out of stock. Look at the item, sure as shit, still a bunch listed in stock.
I don't care what you say, or how you try to explain it away, their website is a piece of shit.
Your issue is that WooCommerce doesn't subtract stock counts on the frontend from pending orders. If they have a bunch of orders that are in pending status, which is the initial status they go into, it will still show stock as being available until those orders change to processing. That stock isn't necessarily available though (it's pending), which is why it complains after trying to add to cart. Again, WooCommerce order status doesn't change from pending to processing until payment is confirmed and then stock is reduced. They had information posted previously that stated they were clearing unpaid pending orders every 80 minutes. If you're this pissed cause you're not quick enough, imagine how pissed you'd be if there was no stock check in place for pending orders, they let your order go through, and then they send you an email days later saying it was cancelled because someone paid before you and there's no stock left. Not only do you not get your order, but you would most likely lose whatever BTC you paid in tx fees. It works the way it does for a reason. If you understand WooCommerce order statuses, and it's saying there's stock available, letting you add to cart, but not letting you checkout, then you'd know that stock is pending and that you should leave it in your cart and keep trying to checkout as it may become available once pending orders are cleared. When it's completely out of stock, you can't even add to your cart. Reducing stock for pending orders would most likely result in you never getting a chance to add to cart and always showing out of stock immediately. If you don't like it, simple solution is to use an extension or write a script that posts the form data automatically and non-stop until successful. Chances are multiple people are already doing that and that's why it's difficult to order. Once AGAIN, you are failing to comprehend my complaint. NO OTHER WEBSITE FROM ANY OTHER COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH WORKS IN THIS SHITTY FASHION. I could give a shit less if it is "working as designed". IT'S A SHITTY DESIGN. Bitmain does do this. Amazon doesn't do this. NO OTHER FUCKING COMPANY DOES THIS. If they show stock, you add it to your cart, and it's yours. If there's no stock, then you're ass-out. That is the way things SHOULD work. I shouldn't have to write a fucking script, clear my cache, or do any other sort of bullshit. The fact that all of you are willing to go to such lengths simply emboldens the next manufacturer to have a shitty website, and shows how desperate you all are. I hope these miners are pieces of shit, you deserve it.

Yesterday it was 10 minutes late and was only available for less than a minute, also the morning batch was not announced

Every single company using WooCommerce does. That includes Parallel, Blokforge, and hundreds of thousands more.

I agree that their website works not as it is expected, but I will not deny that I felt myself even more inspied when my order was done. I was waiting for about the whole night 25.12 not to be too late, playing Hearthstone ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) and updating the page. Finally when the countdown was over I checked the shop page, added 3 items to my cart and then tried to proceed to checkout but found so familiar popup message that there are no items available. Two or three hours of continous refreshing the page, when my hope was almost gone, I finally got the desired page and made my payment. So, now I'm waiting for 3 machines from the march batch. I'm not sure of the actual reason of my success. It could be just luck or my donkey stubbornness. Anyway I'm sure if you really wish to order, you could do this in the end. Good luck for everyone despaired, hope you will finally succeed.

Hi I placed an order last night and my payment went through successfully. Now it is saying my order was cancelled, but my bitcoin was not returned. It was for a Whatsminer m3 that was supposed to ship out in 5 days. Can anyone help me out, has this happened to anyone else? This is my first time ordering from Pangolinminer.

https://pangolinminer.com/support/help-desk/why-my-order-is-cancelled/Why my order is cancelled? If an order is placed for over 20~35 minutes and we didn’t found any broadcast in blockchain, we may cancel your order. If blockchain already broadcast your transaction (TXID generated), your order will be kept in our system. Usually, broadcasting will happen immediately after your payment. However, if you are using wallet from EXCHANGE, it will have some delay for payment. We strongly recommend you use Wallet from BTC.COM and BLOCKCHAIN.INFO for payment.
