Well, obvoiusly, if they collect the funds in BTC and then BTC is down 150%, that will influence the project. But if I got it correctly, the project already has private investors that financed it up until now. So maybe they're not as much dependent on price fluctuations.

Sure. You got it correctly. What we mean to say is the whole market is dependent on the main crypto currency in one way or another, but as of now it doesn't mean much of the development relies on it. Either way, things like this are going to start making difference closer to the ICO.
