I've stopped using Electroneum's mobile miner. The output is nothing but a fraction compared to the input. The mobile mining product has really fall below my expectations. It was the main  selling point during the crowdsale If I remember correctly.

Ran the mobile miner for a whole week and the results are nothing to write home about despite the fact that I use a high end device.

It is more of a marketing tool and a way to bring more people into cryptocurrency. The barrier to entry is too high for the vast majority of people, most don't understand what crypto is, let alone know how to mine or make deposits from coinbase etc. It is all a massive faff and the average person is bewildered by it all. Enter an all one wallet and mining simulation that anyone can download and use on their phone, getting a bit of education along the way. It can reach a huge (mainstream) audience of people, and will definitely be improved in the near future. They have plans for NFC payments, mobile phone bill subsidisation, payment gateways and I expect a great deal more than we know about. The coins people gain in the background with next to no resources necessary, will soon have a purpose. They will amass over time and hopefully grow in value too, then people will be able to spend them on various things, pay towards mobile data, convert to fiat or from fiat to ETN on the fly...all within the app. That is their eventual goal.

They never promised a crazy number of coins from the mining, there could potentially be millions of users if it does go viral. They have not even really started the marketing yet..and they will! So the number of coins gained is actually quite reasonable when you think about it. What amounts to little value now, could be much more in the future. It does not cost you anything to have it running, not even effort, so why complain? Might as well do it and add a few coins to your larger investment, if you made one.

Looking forward to NFC payments for cryptocurrencies, especially for Electroneum as I think that would get the coin to the next level for their goal to reach the masses. I just hope when all this happens Apple will be more friendly towards crypto related apps and allow it in the store.

The price will continue to drop as the demand will continue to drop and weak hands will bail.

Once there is any good news the price will bounce back!

At the current market conditions and trends, It'll be difficult for the price to make a rebounce to the good ol green days even with a really awesome news from the team. The only team that can improve the price at this point would be positive crypto market trends. When the mobile miner was officially launched earlier this month, It didn't push the price up that much. It was even as if nothing happened. The same goes to the kucoin listing.

At the current market conditions and trends, It'll be difficult for the price to make a rebounce to the good ol green days even with a really awesome news from the team. The only team that can improve the price at this point would be positive crypto market trends. When the mobile miner was officially launched earlier this month, It didn't push the price up that much. It was even as if nothing happened. The same goes to the kucoin listing.

I think you are right as I did not realise that bitcoin was down and may go down even more!  The only hope for major short term gains is if the news is that great that ETN look like a haven - one can but hope!

There is always hope for promising project when it have so large numbers of the people in community. This is part of the healthy when price go up and it got correction before move to next level I think it will be more high in next few days.

It won't stop until BTC starts performing. It's on a downtrend and could drop a lot more over the coming days. As all alts are tied to BTC, they will all be falling in value as they have since the start of the year. The loss in value is not exclusive to ETN.

Hopefully the future will see all alts untethered from BTC. They should be tied to fiat, so they all have their own price based off their own merit, rather than just reflect BTC's success or failure.

Nobody is going to invest a great deal of money in alts while the market is still in decline, and BTC is still struggling.

I think a lot of the drop in price is as a result of the MTGox BTC assets being sold off. This is dumping hugh amounts of BTC onto the market and seriously affecting the price. Once these assets have been sold off thing should return to normal, but it will take months to recover. I'm hodling all the BTC and alts I have.

I think there are multiple factors and hence why BTC is in decline. I found the following fact relating to the sale :-

I am one of the weak hands that sold. I`ve sold half of my ETN and plan to forget the other half in my wallet and will check the price after a year. I am starting to lose confidence in this project and there isn't someone that can tell me something that will give it back. Way too early to judge it by price alone. If you had done that with BTC, ETH or many or the other current top 50 coins by market cap, you would have missed out on a lot of money. Many struggle at first, you can't expect it to rise without end when they have barely even started.

I wouldn't make any rash decisions while we have this bear market, but of course it is fine to play it safe if you don't have any belief in the project. Better to cash in if it's money you can't afford to lose. It's all a gamble in crypto.

With the plans they have, especially those shown in the recent document...I believe it'll take a while to implement. But if they do what they set out to achieve, this could really be something special in the next year or so. I don't judge anything by its current value though. Just it's potential.

Really ETN has been going down for as long as the bear run started, even though other tokens are very bearish but they usually gain some strength back and give maybe 12-15% high before going back down again,
I not sure why etn just keep crashing down without going back up for the most of it,
I too sold my etn during the first phase of crash not because my hands were weak but to solve personal issues, but now i hae scoop back my bag because i believe we are yet to see potential of etn technology, i believe in project and i hope won't be disappointed, this is long term if i can

I am waiting for ETN to drop a bit more and I think to invest big time into it, since I really think this project has a great potential. Having a lot of newbies holding this coin and panic selling it is just <3

With bitcoin price still struggling to find a base, I am sure there will be more chances to get the price even cheaper.Newbies who just entered the crypto would dump in a panic with all kinds of the ban coming over cryptocurrencies.

I think that i will change my etn for btc for now and wait to buy back when is will hit a lower price. Unfortunately i think it will reach a 0.015 pretty soon.
Even so, for me, a ICO investor i am in proffit.

If you are quite sure about this than you can make double your amount. Just sell all the token and buy back when price will drop pretty soon but in real you don't have any source of info about this just spreading FUD.

I don't think he is spreading FUD, he's just stating his opinion, if you look at the charts it really shows that etn is losing a lot of value in such a short period of time but I disagree on his statement regarding etn reaching the value of 0.015 pretty soon, looking at the charts it seems like there is a very slim possiblity of that happening but I could be wrong though. Nobody can really tell where the price will go next and I think the current price doesn't seem to be that bad, it's a good entry point to some who don't have etn yet and it's also a great price to collect some more etn. With the current progress that the team is making, I really am not doubting the future of etn. This project has such a huge potential so anyone who is currently holding will really be profitable by the end of this year.

That's the way to do it, buy on the dip, but when is the dip going to stop is the trick, do you look at the Fibonacci progression, other stats or just go by your gut.
What I do is buy a little every so often as the dip is progressing and if it looks like it's on the rise buy a lot.

When I Checked my portfolio today  it was mainly on the green so that was a happy sight (even ETN). Not by much, but better that seeing a constant Red. Another coin I was rooting for had a bigger drop, which sucks ... but that is the way the market is going right now. Not much we can do.

New Monero ASICs are hitting the news last few days, and since it's the Cryptonight algorithm they are mining how this will affect the ETN?
Both Bitmain and Baikal announced that Monero ASICs are coming to the market - Bitmain Antminer X3 and Baikal Giant N
This is rather big thing, so hope that Electroneum will be protected in a way otherwise it will crash the market, which is already unstable.

Being the same algo the ASICs will also be able to mine Electroneum and difficulty will be too high for people using GPUs but I'm not sure how much of a negative impact this will have on the price.
