Average around 40 cent. I started buying IOTA FOMO as it was falling down to 50 cent, couldnt believe somebody would sell this pure gold. Then it dumped to 40 I bought.
It dumped to over 30 cent then I bought even more. Cheesy Holding for the next 2 years for sure. I see a market cap between 30-50 billion USD in 2018 and in 2-3 years a market cap of over 100 billion USD for IOTA. This one can be a game changer and it will be very soon used really instead just for speculation like BTC now.

Regarding Chainlink. I see that the price is awesome, its has fallen deep down, thats where I want it to be when I buy. It was near to 50 cent, now its 18 cent. Deepest price ever was 13 cent.
I went in around 17 cent. But I would not go into offtopic here, focus on IOTA this is an overwhelming project, Chainlink is a nice bet on the side. Wink

By the way: I told you that Samsung will cooperate with IOTA, now it has been confirmed, its this IoT project: https://www.artik.io/
Also Volkswagen is now on board too. Happy times. Cheesy

Well this all sounds very promising. I really like the visual demonstration of the "Tangle" ledger used by IOTA. It can be found on thenextweb.com/hardfork

It does, but I'm sure you get your info from the same people that told you autonomous cars don't exist.

Show me how the "tangle" works without a central validator.

And prove to me that their homespun crypto is safe.

Way to move the goal post.

Are you saying that it can never be rid of the validator? Where's your proof of that?

Nice that you read the Forbes article with links to DAGlabs, but Iota hired outside researchers to validate their code once and for all.

I wish the fud brigade would get better material.

Haha wow, definitely a good call then. The thing's gone up 50% ever since I saw this thread a couple days ago. But don't you think 50 billion USD market cap is a little too optimistic? I mean, sure BTC prices are because of speculation right now. The transaction fees make it impossible for it to be used for micro transactions, and retailers won't accept it because of that.

I really don't see IOTA gaining that much market cap over the next two years. And my reason is purely based on that people don't know about the coin, and there are so many other alt-coins out there that people may think that this one is no different.

I'll be surprised if it takes 6 months. All of wall street is watching.

Now, the marketplace could dud and the corporate sponsors could pull out. But that's the gamble and it won't take 2 years to get resolved.

When you say all of wall street is watching, do you mean they're watching cryptocurrencies in general or IOTA?

Iota (and Bitcoin of course), the announcement yesterday was a who's who of industry leaders partnering with Iota, so institutional investors will be watching and researching. The marketplace is a proof-of-concept, so a lot of eyes interested in the iot market will be watching also.

Yesterday's announcement was big even by wall street standards.

This!

I think based on realistic analysis of the IoT potential and the role IOTA could play here we could see IOTA surpassing first the current ETH market cap, that would mean X12 from here and a coin price around 15-16 USD. But I think in less then 2 years IOTA could reach the current BTC market cap, that would mean X45 from here and a coin price of 60 USD per MIOTA.

Funny is: Most cryptoinvestors have not yet grasped what IOTA will be. They simply can not because they compare it to the current cryptocurrencies like BTC. Their imagination is too limited and restricted.
But IOTA will be so much more and much bigger then BTC could ever be. Take a look at this map: https://data.iota.org/

Now imagine millions and billions of IoT devices worldwide from cars, over sensors, electric loading stations to your refrigarator.
All coupled through the IOTA network and companies like Bosch, Samsung, Fujitsu, Volkswagen...can you guys now imagine how big the IOTA network will be and what we are speaking about? Wink

IOTA will be the giant of crypto and more then just that.

That's actually amazing! I was thinking of getting some IOTA, it seems I need to do this now without anymore delay. I don't want to regret for not buying IOTA in the right time.

Thank you so much for your in-depth analysis cryptimus prime. I had IOTA on my radar but I didn't know it was such a big deal. And in my opinion, it has the chance of becoming a project that does not only convince technically minded folks with its product but also investors with its idea. It's always bad if a product is just hyped up marketing but lacks a convincing product. At the same time, it's just as painful as a fantastic technical solution whose founders are unable to create some noise.

Would definitely appreciate reading more such excellent threads from you.

Who knows, perhaps we will soon hear something about LINK from you (as you have already mentioned it.) However, I feel that the two developers behind the project remain intentionally focused on developing their solution and forming partnerships. Which may be quite frustrating to some. At the moment, it seems like a convincing idea without the necessary marketing skills to convince investors though. Hopefully this changes in the future until then I'm not fully convinced.
