Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin?
We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse".
So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?
Holding bitcoin doesn't mean you are greedy, holding bitcoin is investing, people hold bitcoin for future purposes. People invest their patience, trust, and even takes risk to hold bitcoin for their lives to be changed in the future, it doesn't always mean people are greedy because they are holding on to something. But I agree on what you say that being greedy is a bad thing and is a curse, because being greedy makes you do bad things just to have money, but holding bitcoin is not a bad thing at all, it is a business and a part of being a trader.

The concern is legit as most of the people often are confused to hold it or sell it. I have often suggested to people to hold it for long term or tie it to a goal. I feel that bitcoin is not something that one should try to short sell it. One should hold it for the very long term. Holding it for the long term makes more sense, as there will dips in short term, but look at the chart of Bitcoins, it only goes up and up in the long run and that's the key to make more money using Bitcoins.

As Bitcoin is the finest investment asset of the present era and holding is a key to earn more profits.More we will hold our BTC's,more we will be profited. So,I don't think that we are being greedy,it is rather a smart and wise decision to hold our BTC's. There is only one motive behind every investment and that is to earn profits. So holding our BTC's to earn profits does not reflects our greedy nature .

It's not greedy. Bitcoin can be thought of as a legit investment and holding on to investment is a strategy and not greed. If everyone holds on to their bitcoins, it would reduce the supply and increase its worth

Let them call me greedy, I do not care.  Grin Grin Grin
I have been holding coins for several months and this makes me happy and rich. This is my strategy that brings me to come

No, not at all! If you are holding bitcoin and its intended as investment then you have to hold it for long term. Being greedy is different from making your money grow with the right investment.

I don't think that holding bitcoin is a greedy thing,i think they hold it maybe for the reason they wanted to save it for their future..and also they are waiting for the perfect time for trading or selling it.

there is nothing wrong to own much bitcoin, i would have done that if i have many bitcoins, we always want to rich more and more, so when we be able to have a chance to get more rich, we will take that chance, also we will take the risks of loosing money if bitcoin price drop drastically in the future.

Holding bitcoin is not being greedy. People invest into something to earn profit so if they want to hold it because they want more profit and nothing is wrong with that. People want to have large profit because they want to achieve their dreams and this will happen if they  will invest in bitcoin and patiently wait until it will reach its high value.

For me holding bitcoin is not greedy at all i think it is some kind of investing we are holding bitcoin to gain more profit. People here are working hard to earn bitcoin so we have a right to hold it like saving money in a bank for important purpose in the future.

Holding Bitcoin is the safer solution to trading daily/weekly and I actually admire the people who can just let it sit in their wallet and hope that bitcoin continues to rise especially at these prices now.

Holding Bitcoin is not greedy, do you mean joining stockmarket and holding a stock for several years will make you greedy? I think trading bitcoin and playing swingtrade is more greedy because you want to earn ,more than the earnings you are getting from Bitcoin profit for just holding it.

Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin?

Holding bitcoin is just an investment strategy to maximize profit. But holding bitcoin is very risky, it might end up with nothing.
On the other hand, greedy is nature of human, it could lead people to do their best and get the most, but it also could lead people to disaster.

I believe its not being greedy because they are just saving it for a cause . Because we all know that bitcoin will keeps its value pumping in the years to come and I think its their strategy to gain more or maximizing their profit.

Maybe it is not greed as such, more the people who hold it are content with what they have at the current time. People who hold these amounts for such a long time, may wish to convert it when ultimately necessary. Even though they may not get much, they are still apart of the game.

Holding bitcoins isn't necessarily considered as a greedy act. It just so happens that people see it as a good investment of their money. For me, I can consider an act of greed is when something is being distributed for everyone as free and someone wants it all or more than what others are getting. Or when someone, for example a politician, who will use the tax money for his personal usage.

Yes I agree to you that holding bitcoin is a smart thing because we can earn a profit while holding it and we can help the price to become strong and not easily to dump it because many people sell their coins that can easily affect the value.
