Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin?
We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse".
So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?
I certainly agree that, most of people are now holding their bitcoin because the price of bitcoin become expensive and if the price become expensive it may result to a high income. In addition to that, holding of bitcoin is one of the best to gain and earn more income and we all know that it is very effective.

I dont think that holding bitcoin for quiet so long is a sign of being greedy. For me its a strategy, your goal is to earn its not a selfish desire, youre not taking advantage on the weakness of others.

I will not really say it is greed, I will say it is smart. This is making plans for the future with the help of today. For me I sell cause I need the money and that is why I work with the crypto currency, but I don't sell all of it cause I have plans for the future.

Yeah it's really smart when we look at the core purpose of holding bitcoin. This is not something that all of the people can do. Very hard, imagine you won't touch your bitcoins even they're so valuable and you will only hold them for next years. Very taft job honestly, but very promising too.

No, I don't think it's greedy to hold bitcoins. I actually think it's greedy to just sell them for profit. Bitcoin can really have a great impact in our society, by providing us with both an asset and a currency that is immune to inflation, and that protects us from fraud and corruption made by banks and governments. It gives us financial freedom, and control over our money, and even if banks and governments didn't perform any actions of fraud over time (that we all know they do), BTC, on the "worst case scenario", would actually create some competition on the financial market, forcing banks and payment systems to lower transaction fees, since we now have another viable option to spend our money.

No, holding bitcoin is not being greedy. It is actually the most practical way. Don’t you want to earn more and easily? Holding is the smart move in the world of bitcoin. We should be always financially intelligent. When bitcoin’s value increases, investors or holders of bitcoins take this as an advantage. Holding bitcoin requires patience.

When you make an investment it doesn't mean that you're greedy. It gives an way to grow what you have, people out of curiosity used to invest into scam investments or hyip's which cannot provide such a profiting that too in a lesser time can be considered as greed. Bitcoin us similar to investments that we do expecting an return from it at certain time period.

Everyone has their own thinking and their own way to earn money and holding Bitcoin is one out of these ways so I don't think it's greedy if anyone hold their Bitcoin to make money. As you know the hardfork is coming very close and I believe that everyone is trying to earn as much as they can and hold it to claim free Bitcoin2x so everyone is greedy?

If anyone want to call me greedy, I would not really mind as long as I am a greedy for a good reason. We still have a lot of bitcoin that has not been mined yet, so if I hold the few I have until then or until when I feel it is good enough to hold it, it is not a bad idea and I do not see how that can ever backfire.
In fact, I was not greedy few years ago and I am regretting it now, so I will say not being greedy in this world will actually be what will backfire for you eventually. Although, this is just more like saving for the future and that is a strategy, not greed.

I don't think so. This is kind of a business. Its almost like trading. We buy shares and sell it when the price of the share is higher than what we bought. Its same as trading. We invested in buying bitcoins for less amount and we are keeping it for a long time to see a return. Anything money is involved, its kind of a business. Nothing is greedy in business. When we have more profit, its said as more success. Holding back bitcoin is to get more profit.

Bitcoin now it's like a big field of marketing you need to be greedy to get the maximum benefits of it, if everybody is selling now bitcoins it's value will be like 2011 when the bitcoin value 20$ to 30$.
So for me I think that holding bitcoin it's more like gainful and profitable.

greedy in my opinion is not the one who hold the bitcoin. in my own opinion I hold my bitcoin while bitcoin prices continue to rise, all we collect from the signature, the greedy meaning is the person who has something but wants to be self-controlled.

I don’t think that holding is greedy because I hold the money too in the form of bitcoin. Im just doing it for the passive income and nothing else. I mean I’m getting my job done over a month and I wait for my salary to be credited then does it mean I’m greedy working? Hell no! Then I’m working and in here my bitcoin is working for me and thats not greedy thing at all according to me.

However, I will still hold the bitcoin and will also contribute to different development of bitcoin such as involvement into blockchain by investing into different ICO projects. Thats completely indirectly but I see full positive approach like that and think its the way bitcoin and other crypto currencies work. Hold!

Being greedy depends on you. Self confidence and how far you know about what you are doing. Just like in Bitcoins do you invest here to grow your money, what can be called greedy? We know the news that bitcoins will increase the price and we will not make a mistake there. So I can not call it a greedy to invest in bitcoins because I know how far I am going to invest in it. We're just passing the wave and being greedy is out of this conversation.

Might also. However, I see this condition is very high demand factor in bitcoin. So, holding bitcoin longer in my opinion isn't greedy but is smart way to maximize profits from investing.

There is nothing greedy in trying to become rich in holding your bitcoins, it's actually greedy to go borrowing money to use it to invest in bitcoins because should the investment not work out, it will be very disastrous for the person especially since the money is borrowed in the first place.
