First of all: Great miner!
I was running this miner as a test for 4 days on my R9 270X and it worked great. But unfortunately when I tried running it with my RX 580 it instant crashes my pc. All other mining software work fine, no issues. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I've tried changing the platforms, I've tried running it with and without --asm but it still crashes the PC no matter what.

Anyone got any advice?

Hello!

Try different AMD drivers. 16.10.3 definitely works fine. I'm using it myself on RX580.

Try example.cmd (included in mkxminer) without any changes. Still crashes?

Thanks.

It says on the bottom, add  "--platform 1" to your command line (.conf file/.bat file) if platform 1 doesn't work, try 0 or 2, my AMD were on platform 2
I hope this works for you, I had the same problem but I was playing with -d 1 config, so was completely off track.

Thank you for your reply but as you can see in my post, I tried all the available platforms, just to ensure the OP wouldn't tell me to try another one.

Winmkx,

Please help me with my issue:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2360168.msg26148197#msg26148197

If the program at least offered some information about what is preventing it from starting, I would be capable of trying something else.
So far, I have tried every single option.

Perfect that you are preparing a version for Vertcoin to supernova, a good job. We will wait for the functional lines for Version 2.0.1 on the OP.
Here are my results for Version 2.0.0: https://imgur.com/65DiIV3
With this result I had GPU 1145/2000 and the consumption is 770 W. The temperature is in the standard up to 68 degrees. Everything above is either high consumption or too high degrees on the core.
In this mode I see it for long-term mining. I can play with voltage on the core, but only later.

Would REALLY love a Linux version of this miner !!! Shocked

I don't want to be a pest, but curious if you have had any other requests for a Linux version.

Is it just a matter of re-compiling it, or is there quite a lot of work involved? If I had the skills, I would offer to help.

Hello!

I'll contact you directly via PM with some more questions. Hopefully, we'll be able to resolve it shortly and I'll add a fix to next version.

Thanks

Hello!

I was able to compile it, but it somehow failed to run (crashed). I'll have debug this, but first I need to set up a Linux rig (my first one :-)).
I think I'll be able to release a Linux port in about 1-2 weeks from now.

Right now I'm working on increasing the mining speed a little bit (perhaps 1%) and adding non-SSL/TLS pools support [because looks like that's what most users want].

Thanks

=== Speeds (no overclocking)
Radeon Pro Duo: 84.8MHs (42.4 + 42.4)
Fiji: 55MHs
Hi. I have ASUS Strix Radeon R9 Fury but can't get 55Mhs.
I'm using best.cmd but only 43Mh even at 1020Mhz.
How can I get closer to 55?

For some reason it got deleted, but for those complaining about TLS or only being able to use one pool, someone made this guide to use it on any pool.

Thanks. I Updated to the latest Blockchain beta driver and it seems to be working now. The only issue I'm having now is the one card is running much slower than when it was running on its own. I previously had just an R9 270X running with --auto-gpu --auto-fan --asm and it was hitting 15.9 MH/s
Now with the RX 580 and the R9 270X running together its showing 5.1 MH/s for the R9 270X and 32.2 MH/s for the Rx 580

Does it not work with --auto-gpu when they're two different cards?

EDIT: I realize it may be because its setting the same difficulty for both cards? If thats correct is there a way for me to change it?

EDIT 2: I tried installing the 16.10.3 Driver but now it only detects the R9 270X and doesnt detect the the RX 580

Miningpoolhub's all ports support tls connection automatically. (Yeah same port can handle both tls and normal connection)

I haven't tested this miner yet but I believe it should work.

Assembler doesnt work on rx 570 but works on 370 ?

Would be a nice feature if you could assign assembler kernels per card.

It is a pity that mkxminer does not support all pools. I would be glad if you made such a correction. More people would use this miner, and if it's a dev fee, you'd have a bigger profit for you.
Many people would welcome it because coins with this algo are more and new ones are being created. So it would be a large-scale use.
