Am I right in assuming that the only reason this doesn't work with MPH for example is due to the dev fee? I.e. it's only setup for the pools which the dev has a setup to receive their dev fee to??

I contacted MPH operator with questions regarding his TLS setup and user management about 3 days ago, still no reply.

But… I am working on a version that will work with ANY pools (including MPH). stratum+tcp and stratum+tls. Planning to release before Xmas…

That is good news indeed. Smiley

Any insight as to why having ASM enabled might cause 1 PC to crash, but not another? Both running Rx 470/480 series GPUs on Windows 10 Pro, same drivers etc...

Getting 20-22mhs with my old 280x, and in my other computer with 3x 580x i'm only getting 30-32mhs each, not very impressive considering the hashrate I get from my old 280..
--asm just crash the gpu's and give a black screen, have to reset manually, is there a way around this or is there a problem with the gpu's causing this, since it's says it might cause problem with ellesmere cards (why just some and not all?)
Running +10 power limit and 1250/1250 core/memory now 8 hour stable with -23 intensity, but can't run 3x cards in 1 miner window, that gives error -4 with I23, but if I run 2 miner windows, one for gpu 0,1 and the other for 2 it works with I23.
A little disappointet, as it says 39mhs for 580x Sad

might be that some gpu's are Ellesmere model. In my case i have 6x rx580 with that gpu, so --asm and -I 23 crashes my rig very often.
Note: this may crash your miner, especially on some Ellesmere cards.
I cofigured it run without --asm and -I 22 and it only crashes one or twice in about 24-32hrs.
But without --asm and lower intesity (-I ) you hash rates will be lower. (10-15%) maybe more.
hope that helps.

I guess you won't be disappointed Smiley Just try it for yourself and get a quick answer.
Somewhere between 10MH/s (that's how much my 260x makes) and 20 MH/s (the level of HD79xx, R9 280 etc., which must be faster)

Hi !

Thanks WinWMX for the miner !

With my RX VEGA 64 I'm getting 52MH/s with low consumption (~160W with Adrenalin driver software) ! With a RX460, I get 12.1MH/s with normal settings. I'm using currently the -asm and other arguments of the best.cmd file and the mkxminer v2.0.1.

The results are higher than any of the miner I tried with my AMD cards.

I hope the following release notes will bring us again some good news !

Good luck with the dev and good mining for everyone !   Wink

Ok so after some further trial and error I have come to the conclusion that:

1. The --auto-fan feature crashes the rig 6/10 times
2. When using temp target WITHOUT auto fan, the GPU's become sick after a few minutes and force you to have to restart the miner.
3. --asm works perfectly with the MSI Gaming X 8GB RX580 with a speed of around 39.3 MH/s with --auto-gpu enabled
4. A Modded bios does not necessarily increase your hashrate with this miner

Great work on this miner MKX! Looking forward to when you have the interface up and running so that we can use miner management software and maybe even one day (If they become profitable again) Nicehash

Is there any news around this miner on devfee? I think its just weird that this is the only AMD supported miner out there. Money has been raised with VTC for a miner but it is still no available. So i really want to use this one but i want a stable platform that actually is transparent and works.

here the miner does not run, i try wiht the exemple.bat, best.bat and ways have the same error on my RIG (6x RX570) with --asm or whitout  -I 23, 20,17 never runs.

The error message says: "Applications could not be started correctly"

Very strange

It works fine on my bench rig with RX580 + vega64
If it is still stable tomorrow, I will deploy it on other AMD rigs

Got my 580x working with --asm yesterday, uninstalled previous drivers with AMD cleaner tool, then reinstalled latest blockchain driver, so looks like my --asm problems was driver related. (i already had the same blockchain driver installed, but did not use the cleaner tool before installing it the first time)

Now i can run 3x 580x 4GB with --asm -i22 --auto-gpu without issues, -i23 still gives -error4 though.
I can run with -i23, but then I have to run 2 separate instances of mkxminer, and it won't always start the second one, so for now i just run with -i22.

Looking forward to being able to mine any pool  Smiley
Great work!

how about hashate on rx 580 4GB?

In my experience I get ~34 Mh/s each on the 2 Rx 580 4GB I have available to test on. That's with the "best" batch file and -asm @ 100% stock settings.

35.2MH/s on a Gigabyte RX580 Gaming 4GB.

-i 23
--asm

+10% Core
-500mhz Memory
+10% Power Limit

HWiNFO64 shows ~127 watts, GPU Clock sits stably on 1,260MHz, occasionally jumps to 1,335MHz.

Would love to know how to get the 39MH for an RX580 listed in the OP.

Do you think the 8GB memory is providing the additional hashrate over the 4GB models that people (including me) are only able to push ~35MH/s out of? I didn't think memory mattered at all for VTC mining.

I'm not sure.... we have 8GB Rx 480s that get about 33-34 Mh/s at stock settings. A Rx 580 is basically a slightly overclocked Rx 480 so based on testing with a limited amount of GPUs here it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Maybe the developer can weight in on this?
