Well i still believe on those projects that will be successful even though some of the ico's are scamming other participants, icos are helping people to earn money by starting their projects and because of that, we should still believe on them so my answer is yes, i still do believe that ico is one of the way for us to earn more profit.

Totally agree, there are A LOT of crappy ICOs. But there are also some with great potential. Some of the mentioned earlier in this thread look pretty good to me. However, you need to do your research to avoid being scammed.

So many popular coins started at Ico so not all maybe 10% are legit and with working roadmap, but never to believe in what they say or who are working in their projects, do a research to see if these people are indeed real, some dev just randomly pick names, out of nowhere and make them the creator.

No i don't think so that ICO is free, firstly you have to invest in to get profit from it. Though it is risky but at the same time it is profitable so my suggestion is before invest your capital you should search about the ICO deeply because there are many ICO in which most is good as well as valuable and some is scam.

It can be said that most ICO's are fake, scams or simply don't or won't work in the long run. I wouldn't say that all ICO devs have bad motives, but the ones that do will obviously take their earnings and eject.
You simply need to do some good research, keep a good communication bridge between the ICO's team and if or when you decide on investing and hope you don't fall victim to scams.

There are ico's that are really scamming people when they earn too much profit from the platform they are promoting and it was really unbearable if they did not pay the exact amount of altcoins you should get, so always research about the developers behind the ico before applying in their campaign for your effort not to become useless.

There's a bunch of shitty ICO on the market. It is hard to tell what is fake or not. So it is not a good idea to join ICO projects for newbies. Especially now.

Whole crypto market is falling in price last days. Some people see it as a loose of money, but from my point of view I see this as another chance to gain some more. If we focuse at one coin. In this case I will choose @Viberate - VIB.

Ratio between Ethereum and VIB was circulating around 0.00047557 ETH  per each VIB. At todays drop this ratio reach its bottom at 0.00027990 ETH per VIB and I think this is a great time to buy some more.

I don't agree that all ICO are scam projects. I participated in about 30 campaigns and have not yet encountered
theft and other economic offenses on the part of ICO developers. In my opinion, ICO is a new form of
raising funds for the development of projects, no matter in which field of activity.
There are projects in the technology field, software and even ICO on the development of farms.
Of course there are scammers, but I think we should carefully analyze every ICO project before investing our money in it.

Its not free money, most of genius people does not have enough money for kickstart. This is a kickstarter of nice ideas.
And this will change the capitalism in the future. Now if you have enough IQ than you will achive your goals!

ICO is far from free money!  I have seen ICO that have been worked on for duration of two years before coming to cryptocurrency market to raise funds not to talk of hard work of preparing and promoting such ICO before it can attract money and create value!

I think too that there's a lot of scams around. Up to 90% of ICOs are totally fake, as many say. But it doesn't mean that the rest of the ICOs are bad.

So, what's the best way for you to differentiate between the good and bad ICOs?


I think that the best way is to look into the team. As many responders in such threads say the team is the key. The ICO might not have the extremely detailed plan or all the devs that it needs to succeed, but if you have the great leadership team at the top, it means that they can help the project reach its goals and they can help it transform into something else.

The team might not have the clear idea on their plans for the future


The core team might not actually now how exactly they might be going to do what they are set on doing. That's why it's hard to get the developers in place, get the supporting staff in place, get the creatives in place and then tap into the collaborative hive-mind.

Although there were some people that believed that Facebook will be... the next Facebook))), even the venture capitalists just seeded it with the money and moved on. No venture capitalst (VC) in their right mind would even try to pinpoint that very startup that's going to go big.

Everybody knows that 9 out of 10 startups either fail competely or mop along with no "strike the gold" action, but nobody knows which one of them is going to go big. It's just very hard to learn this.

However, statistics is what rules this universe. If you a little bit of money in 10 businesses, there's a 1 out of 10 chance that you will find the next FB. If you invest in in 1000 businesses, there's still a 10% chance, but now you have 100 Facebooks in your portfolio.

Well, they might actually not be these 100 startups around to do that, but you get me, right?

So, the best thing to do is like that, imho:

1) Identy the good leadership team- those guys have long-time linkedin accounts, which means that they are not going to scooch with your money
2) Invest a little bit into the promising projects and see how it goes.

People who invested in BTC and ETH were also hearing all the time that both are scams. In 2013, when I heard about BTC, I just shrugged off this "crap". You surely understand how I feel now

There is no free money method. ICO's are public sales of new projects. This is the kickstarter v2.0, you can join early and make profit. You should be very picky though, there are a lot of scam projects in the business that try to get sucker money. You must have full knowledge about project you want to invest.
