It's hit and miss or just slow.  When's the jackpot winner being announced?

The backend is still deleting old shares so I expect it to improve when it's done

The jackpot is fully automated, it will be announced when the backend feels like doing so Smiley

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Anyone else having trouble connecting to their page?  It's been up and down it seems since it found the block.

I also had no problem with site.

Probably on my end then.  Just seemed to be in and out throughout the day was all.  Hasn't been a problem since a modem/router restart.

480GH/s Released from customs. 480GH/s still retained. 500GH/s on route.

Redirected 240GH/s to the pool. But can't redirect for long. :/
I have others investors on this.
Hope it will help break the block for the pool.

You have to divide the number of shares by the difficulty to see if a round is long or not.  The difficulty is currently 65M, so we're still below 2D, so this is not a long round.   You will have to get used to this high number of shares - this is normal due to the high difficulty.

Look at the graph at http://bitcoin.sipa.be/speed-lin-ever.png
This graph shows the difficulty, the higher the difficulty, the longer the rounds will last.  This is true for all pools.

It looks that we will have chance to have another block with 65K difficulty, before difficulty changes  Angry. Now we have time of 1656 blocks  Grin

I've just thrown a little of my hashrate (only about 1.4GH) at this pool today for the first time.  Pretty cool idea, I really like the jackpot and the "minipools" idea.

EDIT:  Okay, I just bumped it up to about 2.5GH.

Since I just started, I don't have anyone in my minipool - if anyone wants to join, the name is "Gimme Coins!".

BTC Guild, Slush, and Deepbit have all had rounds in excess of 10*D.  Of course, that's 3 of the oldest pools, who have all at one point been at least 30% or more of the network hash rate, so they have had a ton of rounds in order to hit those numbers.

And if anyone's interested, here's how you calculate the probability of a maximum length round after n rounds:

Code:
Pr(X <= x) = (1 - exp(-x))^n

For example, if a pool has solved ten thousand rounds and the maximum length round was 10*D, then the probability of this occurring is:

Code:
Pr(X <= 10) = (1 - exp(-10))^10000
               =  0.6350766

What this means is that if that pool's history was rerun one hundred times, 63.5% of the reruns would have had a smaller maximum. Unless the result is greater than about 0.975, I would call the occurrence not unusual.

I'm mining on triplemining for 7 days, found this thread.

Why this round is so long? Oh... Hope it will end until difficulty change... Sad
