I think an advantage that Bitcoin has is that it is the first cryptocurrency to boom in the market. Today, it seems like it is the top-of-mind cryptocurrency among people. Its popularity nowadays is so high and establishments and communities are already adapting it. As an actual currency.

Bitcoin has first mover advantage, and name recognition. However Bitcoin has some very real and serious technical problems that so far prevent it from scaling up. There are altcoins which scale better and which will eventually be more widely used than Bitcoin, but that hasn't happened yet. If you can predict which ones and buy them now... well, you get the idea  |

Yes of course because bitcoin is a tested and reliable digital currency and many countries have already recognized bitcoin.
Bitcoin believes in future digital money that will replace fiat, so bitcoin has a good future for investment.

Bitcoin attracts people simply because of the greater security and trust that it garners. Being the first, most secure and stable coin, BTC is the best in terms of the capacity to be used as a currency, as well as, an investment. The market cap and the volume of transaction of BTC is very high. Further, the investment gains are far superior and assured. The other coins in an indirect way seem to trend a dependence on BTC.
The Altcoins are also good, far more economical and good for those who wish to invest and transact a smaller volume and value of money. However, the amount of quick profits that you can make is easier with Altcoins. And it is certainly the best for trading. Altcoins are way too many now and hence the there is always a distrust in peoples minds that one coin can topple the other or that a coin may become insignificant. Such an investment will naturally lead to total loss.
It is simply this sense of security and safety that makes BTC sought after. After all it is like trusting a known person to that of a stranger. However, in the present times Ethereum, Ripple, Neo, Nem and few others are doing extremely well. The people who are seriously into the markets and who are aware of the crypto market seriously consider investing in Altcoins.
So on any day the gold standard is BTC but for serious investors and day-traders, Altcoins are certainly NOT a distant second.

Depends how you define 'value'. So if you just look at total market cap, Ripple is actually a similar size. Perhaps people are just captivated by the high Nominal Value. $8000 for BTC sounds like more than $0.70 for XRP / Ripple. |

Bitcoin is very popular that when you ask someone about virtual mony, they will definitely say it is bitcoin what you are looking for. Bitcoin is also the number crypto that is used in trading. There are many attributes that bitcoin has that attracts common people and even business empires. some of its characteristics are its volatility, anonymity, decentralization, and etc.

In my own, bitcoin has the highest value percentage than the other cryptocurrencies that is why many people attract for bitcoin. They find it easy money and they can save big amount. That is my own idea only. |

Because Bitcoin was first and has the best developer base, is the most accepted and due to the network effect.
I agree with you, more than that that bitcoin also has advantages over other digital currencies because of the greater exchange rate.

For me bitcoin is the most popular coin the world of crytocurrency and many got interested to invest. One thing bitcoin is legal and cannot be a scam coin I mean when you have it you can easily convert it into money. Many got rich of bitcoin and so a lot of people wanted to invest on it. |

Some people would thinking it's more familiar with bitcoin than other crypto currencies/do not known the others any more, some are thinking bitcoin is more important because is the crypto king till can be most profitable on investing, and maybe some people are thinking.. the another crypto currencies just following bitcoin only and less worthy to choosed, to earn money.
Well.. I guess in essence it depends on each people for the purposes their have in the crypto world & their knowledges too, looks more people are at this moments moving in the other crypto than bitcoin.

bitcoin is not only good for long term investment but it can also be suitable in shorter term. altcoins and tokens are the one who is best when it comes to longer term of investment as their value tends to grow in a slower rate. On the other hand, they know that bitcoin is very profitable so that they prefer to choose bitcoin than choosing other cryptocurrency.
bitcoin is only the main stream and most popular among other cryptos , that is why many people knew about it but they dont know that there are still many currencies that is much better when compared to bitcoin in terms of profit and other usage such as payent gateway. |

They we're attracted more on bitcoin than any other cryptocurrency is because they know bitcoin first and have become familiar to it rather than the other coin, and when people talk they about btc it's advantages and all and they thought they will gain more profit to it than the any other cryptocurrency.

Because Profitability margin is very high as compared to other crypto currencies.Good example is 2017 when BTC touch the sky level high price as $19783.Currently due to some bad news in media,fud,the price of BTC is too much volatile and is low.This is good time for investment in BTC,Its being anticipated the coming few months are very important as BTC price would surge once again and may lie around $20k-$25k.Secondly BTC is based on blockchain which is more secure system.So based on past performance its easy to analyze that BTC is more reliable and profitable as compared to other crypto currencies,that`s why more people are attracted toward BTC than other currencies.
