A lot of people were able to become rich because of bitcoin, that is why it is so famous and that is also the reason why big investors are investing in bitcoin. Exactly, bitcoin is the founding father of all cryptos and still to this day is the only one that is known by the majority of people. When such a thing happens as with the price it makes shockwaves around the world and draws mass attention. In time other cryptos will catch up but perhaps they will never surpass bitcoin. |

Bitcoin is the first invention of crypto. It will not be wrong saying that bitcoin originated crypto. The alts are the copy of bitcoin therefore people prefer bitcoin being the original one. Even today the alts marketing strategies include the point that says that it is a currency like the bitcoin. Technically the marketing is promoting bitcoin. The other reason is that bitcoin has proved itself as a best investment and investors are satisfied with the return they get from it. Bitcoin is less risky as compare to the other alts. It still has a high market cap with a very limited number available in market. |

Instead of commenting about people's attraction, I would like to mention the reasons for my attractions towards Bitcoin than any other currency as I believe famous quote, what is most personal is the most universal. I am attracted towards Bitcoin because,
1) First product of the blockchain - Being a first product of something that has a potential to change the world is my primary reason of attraction. I am involved with Bitcoin since 2014 and since then I am spending my 75%+ time to learn more about it.
2) Performance - No doubt that that Bitcoin got the primary advantage of being the early player but even today, Bitcoin is the best performer when it comes to the growth, volume and consistency.
3) Userbase - The user-base of Bitcoin is huge at this stage and even after the fork incident, there is sustainable growth taking place. The active user-base is a good symptom for the long term growth.

People don't get attracted to what they don't know. In my own cases, I have been hearing about bitcoin and even seen something's about it several months before eben joining the forum. Even after I joined, I don't have any business in the alt section because whats happening there is something that I don't understand. It was after I joined that I know that there are some other crypto coins other than bitcoin and with all these, we give thanks to the media. |

Bitcoins has its own edge of being the first crypto currency to be made. Most of the other alt coins are just a clone copy of bitcoin without adding any kind of new feature and is just crappy enough to be used for just pumping and dumping. They don't even have active developers or a community like bitcoin has. |

Because they can buy illegal products from darknet websites without any risks using bitcoin and get it delivered to their homes while when they go in person and use fiat they can get caught and go to prison . It's also much easier for money transactions and you can invest your money in it .
