Because all beginners, first of all hear about bitcoins. They have no idea what altcoins and other cryptocurrencies are. Moreover, they do not know why cryptocurrencies grow and what affects their growth. Therefore, bitcoin is still so popular. |

While bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that has received a wide mass. But it will not even potentially be able to somehow shake the current positions of world currencies-purely for technical reasons. About the ordinary people - even schizophrenia. Or do you have an example of a potential way in which a personal 1 ruble of a simple person will go to pay for the "grandiose offer"?

People always attracted towards that thing which is more valuable and more lucrative,if we talk about BTC its king of Cryptocurrency,it determine the overall price trend for Coin market cap and hold higher market capital listing at top.When we talk about Cryptocurrency the first thing which comes to mind is BTC.2017 was breakout year for BTC.It increased 1500% which a huge increment and showed huge investment is made in 2017,mean more investore attracted toward it.Although it crashed 33% on 22 Dec-17 but it did not reach to bottom level and maintain its price between $6000-$8800.When BTC price increases other cryptocurrencies price also increase and vice verse.Due to these characteristics i can say that more people are attracted to BTC than other currencies.

They are usually attracted by Bitcoin because it is more famous than any other cryptocurrency. As media only talk about BTC people knows cryptos only threw this, so they are more confident in BTC.

People are attracted towards Bitcoin because it's a safe and reliable cryptocurrency as compared to other cryptos. Although its price fluctuates a lot but a person with trading experience can make quite a lot of profit from these fluctuations. Another reason for its popularity is that the media nowadays is creating a lot of hype regarding Bitcoin.

I'd say the fact that it reached such a high price made it the most popular, why aren't the other cryptos as popular as Bitcoin? Most of people investing on Bitcoin don't even know or understand the technology behind, is just an investment asset, so if they don't even fully understand Bitcoin how can they understand other coins? Most of non-technical people don't like what they understand, and with Bitcoin being the one that reached such a high price is the one they prefer even if they don't understand it, Money wins.

Because bitcoin is the god when we talk about crypto curerency and bitcoin is the first in the media covrage...ther is many media talk about the ban of the bitcoin in some contries for example but the intended is the ban of all crypto currencies...In other words when the persone who don't know the crypto world say bitcoin he Means all crypto currencies

because other "cryto currency" also known as altcoins are not known to anyone outside of the bitcoin circles. whenever the media is talking about crypto currency they are talking about bitcoin!
additionally the altcoins are mostly pretty terrible. they are made to be pumped and dumped so they are not really something people are interested in.
bitcoin on the other hand is a real currency which you can actually use to buy stuff with either online of offline and that will always give it an edge. not to mention all the attention that is going to bring for bitcoin.
I think it's because Bitcoin is the highest valued, it has the most potential, it has the most experience and years under its belt, and so ultimately, it is the best coin in the market. When you hear the term cryptocurrency, for most people, the first thing that comes to mind is Bitcoin, in that regard, you can see how important and popular it is in the market. And so, having all those characteristics, people would want to try on it more than others thinking that it would be safer, and that it could give them better chances of success. |

If in stock market, bitcoin like blue chips and all investor always want to hold blue chips stock. Beside that, many news covering about bitcoin and not many mention about altcoin.
