One years ago, I expected Waves to reach Ethereum and more ICOs use Waves platform. But I don't think so any more. It does not seem there is any chance Waves reach Ethreum. Day by day, Ethereum is becoming more popular but there is no good news from Waves.

Of course not! Where Are Waves and where Ethereum, the Ether has developed many times stronger and behind it the top companies, and the waves? Their functionality is limited, and developers are very slow to develop the platform.  Roll Eyes

Waves  features:

---Fast  transactions

---- no touring complete  smart contracts (safer than a  touring  complete  smart contract)

----- DEX  ( not  a  goode  interface tought)

----  tokens creation

-----   Ico  creation

WIill   waves   have  the  same  boom  that  ethereum had   last  year (2016) or not?

Will it kill Ethereum?

Waves are very strong but can not kill ethereum. Like ethereum can not kill bitcoin. Between these two coins is really huge difference, so it is impossible

I don't think there's a chance. because the market is in love with ETH. Smiley projects find the ETH infrastructure very transparent and fast.

If someone will kill ETH - it will be NEO, but not waves.

It's nice to see new people like you, us old heads know how good NEO is. Waves is not a competitor for Ethereum at this stage, they have a very long way to go.

I like any new projects trying to build platforms. I think these are the types of plays that will pay the highest dividens. With waves killing eth it's hard for me to imagine. NEO to name a few are more likely at this point in time and even then eth is still head and shoulders above the rest currently. How long this lasts is another issue. But they still have time to sort out all scaling issues and remain the dominant smart contract platform

It will not kill or end anything with Ethereum, it is called new competition and its about the process and services they offered which people can decide what to use or buy.

No one had the power to kill [insert anything here] until a better solution that was better marketed came along

waves has definitely a lot of potential and has plenty of space to grow. As of now it is ranked 35 on coinmarketcap but actually it has a working product and could jump up 10 to 20 more spots on the ranking in my point of view.

There is history of a 7 dollar coin going to 1k in one year already.  I don't see how anyone will be able to take over ETH unless we are talking years down the line.  It simply has to many other tokens on its platform now.  I could see rivals coming up the ranks like NEO and maybe Waves.  Still I don't see either of them equaling ETH for awhile at least.

No and it's gonna happen fundamentally speaking ETH is far more than WAVES whY? because I know you know that there a lot of amazing ICOs already partnered with ETH because they really believe the ETH network was really good and if those ICOs was successful then expect ETH will be huge more and more.

I think waves can't kill ETH, You can see all that ETH is giving the crypto world is better than waves. and ETH are improving by Dev

As you know waves also improving by their developer but its not big impact to the project.
But etherium, it has big impact to cryptocurrency world that make the waves is behind etherium.

I think they are kidding because waves coin value are not in the half of ethereum so impossible that waves kill that altcoin this time. However there's a possibility to happen it if the waves coin continues increasing for the period of 5 years or more. Aside on that before waves coin reach and kill ethereum they need to surpassed it first in the market.

no. I don't think waves will replace Ethereum.

there are so many big investors are using Ethereum and it is still pretty strong.

Waves can be real competitor for Ethereum, but ETH will still be first.
Waves doesn't have good promotion and successful ICOs on its platform (except Wagerr).

it is believed that the waves are the second largest platform for conducting ICO after the etherium. The guys are really doing an active job. And github that confirmation. But the etherium is so powerful a giant that so far any other projects before it far in popularity. In addition, Buterina has more resources and material and technical resources for improvement and development. Perhaps, the ethereum is not as agile and flexible, but while he is on the Olympus. And it is unlikely that the next few years it will be replaced. Unless TRON-a large-scale and grandiose project from Durov will be able to shake the positions of the etherium, but not Waves. Waves will certainly take their place and they do it successfully
