The first time I think the best exchange is poloniex, but after a lot of trouble and ddos attacks, I'd rather move to bittrex, even though there are so many coins coming in bittrex, but i think bittrex is the best exchange at the moment. although occasionally i still use poloniex for trading, because i think poloniex already changes and now has started many coins listed in to poloniex. but that's just my opinion...

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Bittrex is the most reliable exchange with many different altcoins as of now. I suppose that more than 60-70% of community use it.

Yeah, Bittrex was never hacked before and I haven't any problem with deposit/withdrawal for more than a year there.
I think it's due to the fact that bittrex has tightened the scope of the cash Commission is rather not bad made. It's cool, why this exchange someone to throw.

Currently using Etherdelta. The best trading site ever. It has the lowest yransaction fees. And you just have to import your wallet to let yourself to use and trade there. Its also a very friendly user. I recommend Etherdelta.

Bittrex, Hitbtc and Poloniex would be my best recommendation for an altcoin exchange but you would need to verify your created account if you want your accounts to be safe and secure and activate a 2fa. Oh and by the way the ID verification needed is for you to be allowed to withdraw a certain amount on the exchange site because there are always limits on how much you are allowed to withdraw depending on your verification.

Using Binance at the moment. Is that one of the best, or there are better ones?  I live in Sydney Australia by the way.

And which exchange has the lowest fees?

And do I need to provide photo ID etc to join them and to start buying coins?

Thanks:)

i don't have any experience with binance because i only use poloniex, bittrex, sometimes yobit, cryptopia and in poloniex and bittrex needs to verification to get higher level so we can withdraw with bigger amount. i think for the lowest fees its different for each exchanges and its up to you which one you want to choose. if you want to join with poloniex and bittrex then i suggest to you to make your account verified so you can get better service although they always late to reply your ticket.

I have five exchanges that I trade my altcoins. But for me, it is the cryptopia and poloniex as of the moment. I made withdrawals without any hassles. They tie on the first place and the second I trade was c-cex. I see no problem withdrawing but on the deposit side, you will sometimes experience delay in the transaction. My newest I use is the coinexchnage and hitbtc where other coins are not in the big exchanges like bittrex and polo.

I recommend you use bittrex or polo, two of the world's two largest altcoin exchanges. The downside is that bittrex and polo's customer service response is slow, which gives me a headache. It may be that they have too many customers and too few customer service.

Bittrex - Fast, less problems, API, 2FA
Poloniex - More Problems user number decreasing, no new tokens
Cryptopia - Trade with DOGE or LTC good order based trade opportunity
Livecoin - New coins
Tidex - New coins low volume
Binance - China based coins
Cex.io - first entry with credit card

I will go with bittrex, there is so much tokens to be traded with bitcoin and the volume of total money is massive ,yet, the volume of exchanges with tokens are massive too, so it is recommended to trade in bittrex.

photo id only aims to prevent abuse. I think it's normal. you do not have to fear any misuse of your idcard. all exchanges are the same, depending on which one we need when transacting.

I believe bittrex.com will offer us more secure and fast transaction although their fees were high and above average but having peace of mind in the event of transaction will definitely matters.
