I have a wallet version v1.7.2.0 and it does not sync!

VRC sync up for you?  Been trading this since Cryptsy and Mintpal days.  My tip, open "help-Console" > "Information" tab, when you see "current number of blocks" stall on a certain number close the wallet.  Wait till the VRC icon is off your taskbar, then reopen wallet and repeat.  It'll go alot faster than just leaving open to sync.  If I wait a few months to stake, I have to do this a few times to sync up quickly.  The VRM wallet I have yet to see this sync then stall issue and lately it can go a year or so before I open its wallet to sync up.

There is currently an issue on the bootstrap process of the Vericoin Wallet.
We are working on a new release that should arrive this summer.

Meanwhile you can :

• Wait for it to sync up
• Download the boostrap from http://cdn.vericonomy.com/bootstrap.zip and extract the content of the bootstrap directory into
  • Windows: %appdata%/Roaming/Vericoin
  • Linux: ~/.vericoin
  • Mac: ~/.vericoin

Regarding the Vericoin syncing problem, that also happens for my windows wallet:

I did test a fresh sync on linux and windows. Both syncing with the same settings (internet speed, ram, cpu cores, ssd,...) The results are:

Linux vericoind (without graphical interface) did sync up very quick, without loading the bootstrap. It did sync up in only a few hours!!
Windows Wallet (with graphical interface): Syncing is a real pain, even after downloading the bootstrap of blockchain it still would take days or several manual restarts of the wallet.

So i personally think that the syncing problem is in the windows wallet and not in the general source code. Is there anybody who could confirm problemless syncing on the linux non gui wallet?


I hope this might be usefull if there is ongoying devopment. And after the reading of 7days updates i think there is a lot of progress going on here.
