Seems like someone is doing this only during weekdays oddly.. Difficulty shot back up to 25k+ on POBH mining, it seems to settle/drop over the weekend though

How do you get this information? I look at the charts and while difficulty fluctuates, the Dark Gravity Well (DGW) re-adjusts every block depending on hash rate and how quickly the blocks are found. I'm not really any noticeable spikes that says the difficulty has changed much. It looks very smooth to me.

Still, I'm curious how to get difficulty per block (podc & pow), so I can create my own ranges instead just pool.biblepay.org

I watch the wallet as the day goes on .. lol
Most often it seems to be <10k .. but occasionally I see spikes to 15k  today I saw 45k at one point.

Also, watching block rewards diminish,  I earned a block at 350 subsidy, while most average closer to 500.

April from BLOOM says Hi to us from the Christian Alliance for Orphans Conference, and we have a friend that made a video thanking us for our help:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kqHi43pjbeP6kXcbRhYDjYSikaJbuBQw/view

This is fantastic. It is great to see the impact "on the ground". It is a good motivator to keep going, to keep growing!
Are we allowed to link this video on our website? Elsewhere?

1. What does the output of the following give you?
Code:
exec getboincinfo
Code:
exec stakebalance
Code:
exec podcupdate true

2. Have you been solved Rosetta/WCG tasks in the last 24 hours?
3. Are you on team BiblePay on Rosetta/WCG?
4. Are your computers on Rosetta/WCG hidden?
5. What is your name in the pool list?
6. Is your controller wallet connected to the internet 24/7?
7. What wallet version are you running?

"URGENT PRAYER REQUEST
On Friday a dam burst in Solai, western Kenya, sending a wall of water 1.5 metres high and 500 metres wide towards the homes below. 30 Compassion assisted children remain missing. Please join us in praying that each one will be found safe, for provision to support the urgent needs of affected families, and for peace and comfort for those who have lost loved ones. Im sure you can find rpc examples to get it working:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Multisignature

Is this something you plan to expose in the QT wallet in the future?

We already have it, you just take the rpc commands used in bitcoin to create a multisig address, you fund it, and when you want to spend it you use the createrawtransaction, signrawtransaction and broadcastrawtransaction to send it out of the multisig.  You must sign for each keyholder however before you broadcast.

More specifically, I am wondering if you will create a user interface in the QT wallet to do all of this for those of us who are command line challenged.

Maybe if Bitcoin adds this as a UI feature, it'll be easier to integrate into BiblePay QT wallet.

Or if I'm motivated to write a document detailing the steps with screenshots.

Difficulty per block changes based on how quickly the block is solved, network hash rate, etc. This is all to keep interval between blocks as consistent as possible. Subsidy is base block reward plus transaction fees. Of course, your total block payout will change. Maybe you can point to specifics but I'm NOT seeing a threat from botnets or any issues between weekday vs weekend, day vs evening, etc.

I get that,  i'm looking into mining some of the block data to see.  Perhap's i'm imagining things?  wouldn't be the first time.  I've been watching purepool and the daily block wins vs 1 day mined.   It seems to have dropped from 40k-ish earned to 20k.

It doesn't mean much I suppose, other than solo-miners taking over?

I'll sit back and watch some more Smiley

28 minutes since last block so far. I know, I know, law of averages...but that's weird.

Electrum has multi-sig UI, including Dash Electrum and Stratis Electrum. So I don't know what is the future for us, but for now I will soon try the CLI way in BiblePay and if I'm successful, I will write a guide and a wiki article.

It has been different from what the announcement said, is not every 7 minutes to solve each block. Undecided

Well, no chain meets that exactly, all the time - difficulty gets adjusted after each block to attempt to hold the average. While it took 30 minutes to get the block I was watching, the next 4 came super fast (like 1-2 minutes apart). It's more a curiosity than anything else. You can't predict exactly when a hash will be solved, just keep adjusting with the new information as you get it.

I have a question regarding WCG. Since R@H still doesn't work properly on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS I created a WCG account under the exact same e-mail address I use for Rosetta. Unfortunately the CPID for WCG does NOT match my current CPID.

Now I associated WCG on ONE machine and it currently solves a couple of tasks. As Rob wrote on #5953 this issue should solve itself within a day or so.
Now my question: is a matching email the only requirement for this automatic fix? Since my current user name for R@H was already taken I chose a different one for WCG. Is this a problem? In that case I would simply change BOTH user names to a (third) user name that is not taken on any of the projects. Regarding that: will changing the user name affect my payout/BBP association?

Hi

I recently introduced a family member to BBP - he mines with a small laptop and was getting a few coins a day from Rosetta RAC

A couple of weeks back - payment stopped  - although the had RAC and a stake
Everything looked OK - latest wallet / CPID  / RAC / stake / etc     but still no payments

I tried adding UTXOamount =xxxx even though it is supposed to automaticallly pick up the stake - lo and behold - payments started again
FYI - his stake is about 3500 BBP

I see a lot of smaill miners in the superBlock report in the same situation - ie: 0 magnitude although they have RAC
I wonder if there is an issue picking up the UTXOamount for small stakes

TIA and regards

You might try to add below command while not a "UTXOamount" , WIKI is out date but no one edit it....

If you want the Rosetta@Home CPID (the older CPID) to transfer to the WCG CPID, you have to run both projects on BOINC. This way, they know that the older CPID should apply to the WCG. Usually, it only takes a few hours for the update to occur. This is from the BOINC GUI, I'm not sure if the boinccmd (command line version on Linux) knows if other project's CPID should be changed.
