The repository (i.e. the Ubuntu binaries) are not out yet for Ubuntu 18.04. Lichtsucher (the guy making them) ran into compilation troubles for 18.04 and is working on fixing them. I'm not sure if in the meantime it's possible to compile it from source, but I'm pretty sure you would have to have some Linux skills to circumvent any incompatibilities.

Yes, I couldn't compile biblepay for Ubuntu 18.04, as other users pointed out, biblepay isn't compatible with the newer openssl version :/
It doesn't look like a fix is in the repository yet.

Not yet, they need some legal paperwork which I am not used to, so this application for kucoin may be slow, or maybe someone who knows more legal stuff can look.

1. sudo apt purge libssl-dev && sudo apt install libssl1.0-dev
2. rvm install 2.3.5 --autolibs=disable

This sadly doesn't work on Launchpad.
Error message via mail:
"Tried to link to specific libssl1.0-dev package"

Test was with "libssl1.0-dev" instead of "libssl-dev" in the debian/control file. No other message is shown, and I couldn't find any useful hints how to solve this yet :/

But aside from that, if the fix is easy, it would be better to change the sourcecode, then to try to install an old library Smiley

bible_pay thanks .... finally know where is problem= still dont understand why ROSETTA working and WCG doesnt=  WCG=IBM is USA company ... can disable gdpr

lazy IBM

IBM may be a "USA company" but it is also an international business. Therefore they have to meet the regulatory laws in every country they wish to continue doing business or face fines. Rosetta@home has to also meet these stipulations. However, you haven't seen anything yet because WCG is being proactive to get all of their ducks in a row now rather than later. Since IBM is a much larger entity than the University that Rosetta resides, they have a bit more legal team to work with. They are also a bigger target for people to go after. What they are doing may inconvenience a few but it really is good that they are doing it.

If it helps anyone or encourages more to jump in because they are already DC'ing, I made a few how-to's in my teams mining section.

How to get SPARC tokens by running distributed computing projects via BOINC.
https://hardforum.com/threads/how-to-get-sparc-during-the-alpha-phase-using-boinc.1953164/

How to get free Byteball coins by running World Community Grid distributed computing with BOINC.

How to get BiblePay by running Rosetta@home or by mining
https://hardforum.com/threads/how-to-set-up-biblepay-and-also-get-free-coin-for-dcing.1960766/

How to earn Electroneum using an Android device
https://hardforum.com/threads/how-t...ice-simulated-mining.1960821/#post-1043637926

All but the Electroneum one is DC based and therefore you can double/triple dip. Each of the DC ones are facing issues with the GDPR and are awaiting for the token issue to resolve itself.

Just a question maybe it was here already I dont know. What are the plans with explorer.biblepay.org and biblepay-central.org? Data in central web looks out of date pretty long time. Search feature on explorer doesnt work I think as well. Is there preparing any update for these webs? Thanks.

mhh, it looks like the main pool isn't sending the result out.

@Rob: Here the systems are stuck at trying to download the api_superblock list from the main pool. Can you have a look at that? Smiley

Where do we download the iPhone beta wallet?

You need to download TestFlight. Then get an opt-in e-mail from MIP (iOS developer of BBP iOS wallet). Then you can download a 90 day beta from the App Store.

Hi everyone,

small update on biblepay-central: I just activated the "Alert" system. Logged in users can now "subscribe to" masternodes, podc users or proposals. They will get an email whenever something is changing there, like a new podc payment, or when a proposal gets new votes. Or when a masternode changes the status.

It might not be perfect yet, but it worked quite well in my tests. Hope you will enjoy it.

Edit: The system looks for changes every 4 hours.

Nice work, thanks. Didn't know about the SPARC connection (or about SPARC for that matter^^) and just completed the connection. Let's see how this works out. :-D

I didn't want to have to read through 400+ pages. However, I'm not seeing anything clarifying how to add WCG. I see adding Rosetta. If someone has the CPID from Rosetta already associated with their account and their CPID with WCG is the same, does that automatically opt them in to PODC with WCG as well or is there another step needed? I could see it beneficial and hindering both at the same time depending on situation. I'm always supporting WCG but only support Rosetta during challenges normally.

Also, are you basing the RAC off of what the project site is reporting? I ask because that can take a few weeks to actually become accurate while running the project but becomes very inaccurate if you stop. For instance, I can stop running the project now and several weeks/months/possibly years I will continue to have a RAC at the project. You will find most projects never return you back to 0 RAC because of how RAC is calculated. I was just curious to which "report" I should watch for this...

Welcome aboard!

To associate WCG with Biblepay, once you have Rosetta@Home crunching, just check the WCG web portal to ensure your CPID is the same as your RAH CPID.  If it is different, just attach WCG to an existing machine that is crunching RAH, and also ensure your web portal WCG e-mail address matches your RAH e-mail address.  Then within 24 hours of the next WCG work update, your CPIDs should match.  Biblepay will automatically pick up your WCG credits.  However, due to the GDPR issue, we are currently in the process of freezing WCG temporarily until the DPA issue is sorted out, so it is not a good time to start with WCG.

Regarding diminishing RAC, yes it is true that BOINC'ers who had > 100 RAC and then stopped boincing now exist years later with a RAC of .01 (due to the fact that the RAC never really decays to 0).  We filter these out by : requiring a payment of over 1 bbp, requiring recent RAC timestamps, and requiring tasks to be solved.  So yes, if you stop boincing you will be paid for weeks as long as you are solving at least 1 task per day, but eventually this will stop when your daily payment decreases below 1 bbp.
