Unfortunate.
What has Megacoin been up to recently? I owned 190,000 of them at one point, yikes! Sold down to 30,000 before the run and that 30,000 was sold early in the run. Thengox gobbled up all my BTC. I might get back in to MEC soon with the price trailing, but I have been really into Globalcoin these days. So cheap and so well branded.
Ha, in fact MEC was my first purchase of an alt. It was July 5th last year. Set a buy for 100,000 MEC and went to the casino with who is now my GF. I got back like 8 hours later and I had filled like 16k or something, but the price had tripled. Those were the good old days.

Same for me, I was pondering buying back in but the missing website put a dent in my plans.

Just wanted to pop in and let you guys know I miss you. Still holding the majority of my MEC despite caving and unloading a couple hundred thousand when it was up over $1 last year; I have just been less active due to time constraints. Unfortunately, the returns on my following investments were quite poor I will certainly be around when we're ready to get the jet back on the runway. Good to hear from you... Definitely a lot of ups and downs over the last year. I suspect the jet is just about to move out of the hanger, and likely those are the turbines you hear spooling up faintly in the background. Can't wait to see what Kimoto has been working on.

Hope to see MEC on your exchange. Although I doubt many of us will open an account just to vote, more options are always a good thing. Best of luck, vtr99

Seriously, that website needs to be fixed, and preferably within the next couple of weeks. While it's much better now that you are rerouted to the forum than a page with "account suspended", the fact that all the infolinks goes to "account suspended" will greatly disconcert new buyers.

The forum contains all the info a new investor needs, and we are always willing to help with any questions. I'm sure the official site will be up soon, and along with it the price of Megacoin.

One interesting factor of Megacoin that isn't discussed very often is that a high percentage of early mined blocks have never been touched (literally hundreds and hundreds of 500 coin blocks). Assuming a large portion of these blocks are owned by Kimoto, it is certainly another reason to believe he plans to lead a comeback.
Just a small sample, but twenty of the first twenty-five blocks mined (1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25) have never moved.
At one point in recent history, those 20 blocks were worth $20,000 USD alone.
Remember: everything is down right now... it isn't just Megacoin. This economy is losing money like a sieve due to the endless scams, greedy "devs" and naive traders - new money that is flowing in is quickly flowing back out as the developers of these massively premined/etc junk coins cash out and walk away. Through experience and education, quality coins that have stood the test of time, such as Megacoin, will rise again. You don't make a profit buying high and selling low - take advantage of the current state of the altcoin market! There is a ton of money tied up in altcoins and the slightest turn in momentum will result in an epic jump.
I was buying MEC for less than $0.01 just 9 months ago... so if you look at it that way, it's up 8 times in 9 months; it has outpaced bitcoin and I'm still feeling pretty good about this investment. This is a positive community and that is a powerful component of Megacoin itself.

There seems to be a pump, or subtle rumour that the Dev and Fatman are up to something big.
But here's the facts ... Mega has generated less than 1 page of comments in 2 weeks. & their website is MIA.
That is about as dead as it gets in cryptoland.

Keep telling yourself that... How many comments has the Litecoin or Feathercoin thread on this forum generated in the last 2 weeks? Website will be back shortly. In the meantime the forum can be found at: https://forum.megacoin.co.nzAnd yes, there will be some interesting news coming soon.
