what about mastenodes? airdrops?

at one point you should make less coins per block.

Masternodes are possible. Space was specifically left in code for potential addition of Masternodes.

As far as reduce block reward, can be discussed but as of right now it will stay as is. Would require fork anyway so maybe when/if add MN we can do so.

Basically we can leave this up to community to discuss and come up with ideas.

I think you should go for masternodes as quickly as possible. Coomunity will grow very fast. Everebody loves masternodes. Coin should attract more people. If you make good roadmap and target some date, it will be very cool.

I fully support! Ready to donate my POLY coins to create MN.

if masternode , how much needed in poly .

Min 20-50к IMHO. Too cheap nodes only kill coins...

what is the bat file for solo

I hit another block! I feel that it will be about 3 blocks per day.

All.bat and .conf files' content has been posted in this thread already, but let's make it clear once again:

C:\Users\rabinovitch\AppData\Roaming\Polytimos\polytimos.conf:

Code:
rpcuser=rabinovitch
rpcpassword=rEaLly_MoFo_strongAndLongPassword007
rpcport=42518
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=192.168.0.17 #in my case the wallet is on my home PC, and 192.168.0.17 is IP address of GPU rig
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0
addnode=seed1.polytimos.net
addnode=seed2.polytimos.net
addnode=seed3.polytimos.net
addnode=seed4.polytimos.net
addnode=seed5.polytimos.net
addnode=seed6.polytimos.net

Save this polytimos.conf and (re)start the wallet. Allow it to access the network if your antivirus/firewall ask for it.

ccminer's .bat file (my AMD rigs are mining ETH):
Code:
EXPORT GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
ccminer.exe -a poly -i 23 -o http://192.168.0.49:42518 -O rabinovitch:rEaLly_MoFo_strongAndLongPassword007

Here 192.168.0.49 is IP address of my home PC where the wallet is running.

is this coin resistant with asic?

Yep. At least for now.

What kind of rig is getting 3 blocks per day?

+1 vote for Masternodes.

But we should not do it only to pump the value of the coin, just to take advantage of the masternode hype.  Let's think about having a unique masternode model.  I suggest we try something new - perhaps we can set a low collateral and try to break the record for most masternodes?  I know most people will react with "no, masternodes are supposed to have high collaterals so that people will buy on exchange" but this is precisely my point - let's do something different with a real purpose, instead of trying to copy neoscrypt coins just to pump the value.  We could make Polytimos the most secure network if we set a low enough collateral to get thousands of nodes up and running.  That itself will generate value and could be worth more long-term.

This is just a suggestion though, if there are good arguments for high-collateral masternodes I'm all ears. And one way or another, they should be implemented.

Edit: To be clear, I'm not suggesting we make the collateral trivial.  I was thinking something like 3000 POLY.  With that, I would estimate we'd have close to 1000 masternodes in about a month, and would only go up from there.

Not any rig, the better your rig's hashrate the better possibility you have to mine a block.

Will discuss with other devs about this and see what everyone thinks. For now we are working on other services like anon VM and other hosting, and a bot in discord server which is there now. Fully custom written bot.

There will be many many things for poly coming, so regardless of MN I think people will still find many reasons to come to poly.

Thank you for your opinions though, will talk with others.

poly has its own algo which is hashed via many algo listed on main ANN...

please do not start with the FUD now about ASIC, you know that developing ASIC is algo-specific and would require more than it would for creation of GPU miner.

ASIC is possible, but very unlikely until poly is MUCH bigger and more valuable, then the ASIC company would likely sell ASIC to make money, and we could all buy it to mine poly. But development of it now, simply to 'attack' a new coin makes no sense. It will be very obvious if an ASIC comes.

MOST algos are not totally ASIC-proof, so your flawed logic apply to MOST coins.

Not sure about 3 blocks, need more time to see that. It's 6xGTX1070s. 22+ MH/s each card.

I see the 1st sellers sold with the mistake that they thought they was selling for big bucks but sadly they got nothing as coinsmarket has a extra decimal point.
Then people follow the mistake and throw the price down lower with sell orders.

Yo sellers your selling for the wrong price ya dopes !

It is true that there is a lot of money now, and I don't know what is really distributed. POLYTIMOS is a good project, and it really implements the core thinking distributed to the fast chain.
