Bitcoin or Altcoins? Which is safer or more profitable?

each person has different opinions. well, there are also dare to take risks by using bitcoin as a means of trading. and some also use altcoin. well, i use altcoin as a tool to make money. and it's safer. I think like that.

The safer option is bitcoin, but some alt coin also safe like eth or ltc, for the profit it depends on you, if you do day trade and you can predict it right then alt coin is more profitable because the price fluctuate at high speed, but I still suggest to just invest in bitcoin it isa safer and the profit is also not bad

Both are profitable and Both are safe but again it is still depends on how will you choose and manage both coins.

Altcoins provide both Long term and short Term Investment Returns.
Long Term - for Coins that have the potential to boost and currently on an uptrend movement
Short Term - for Coins that doesn't have the potential to boost, for Pump and Dump purpose only.

Bitcoin is generally for Long Term Investment, but for some events it could be a Short Term Investment, depends on the Movement of the Market.

When it comes to safety, Bitcoin is more safe and more trusted, It has a large number of Community which continuously monitor Bitcoin related Activities which make any "unsafe" and malicious activities to be reported and alerted to other members of the community.

I'm second with your above opinions. For the Altcoins, especially those that offer airdrops - the majority of them are made for "Pump & dump".

For the Bitcoin's part, if you're a daily/weekly trader - Bitcoin is ideally for short-term trading. However, if you're a true believer - hold your Bitcoins until the end of time...

Is it still safe, wise and as profitable as before to start a fresh bitcoin investment?

I'm thinking that investing in a number of the other several altcoins might be much better

I think alt coins are fastest and most profitable cryptocurrency available now. This is because alt coins are mostly air dropped to many people and their tendency is to "Pump and Dump". And by P&D, what I mean is they buy a lot of alt coins, wait around a week to let it rise in price, then immediately sell it. This is profitable in a small margin because alt coins don't usually make an impact in the market unlike bitcoins.

to invest in bitcoin at the moment I think it is still very safe and if you decide to choose investing in some coin altcoin it's even more very good, because you can get doubled profits, and I suggest you should buy coin coin that is experiencing price decline deep and wait a while until the price goes up and you are ready to ready for the harvest.

Bitcoin has biggest market capital as for now for the cryptocurrency, the chance for it to suddenly death or turning into a dust coin is very low unlike to those altcoins especially with volume of tradings in 24 hours
below $10,000. I often saw some coins that's get pumped so hard even reaching top 10 gainers are coming from all these low cap coins with manipulated market, don't ever invest into that thing, you will only losing your money to someone else with bigger capital.

I am choose both bitcoin and altcoin because from both, I can trying to make profit and so far, I think I am make money with bitcoin and altcoin. having investment in bitcoin is the best that we can do while we have altcoin to help us to make our bitcoin become bigger with doing trading. but I realize that trading bitcoin can also makes our money bigger too because the price is too volatile and trading bitcoin have a big risk too.

It's depend on how much your capital to start investing on cryptocurrency. You can't achieve a big profit with small money you invest in bitcoin. But it's still better for long term. but with altcoin, you can earn a good profit even with a small money. Altcoin which have a good potential are ripple, waves,  stellar lumens, zcoin, ethereum classic.

if you are not a trader then  don't even think about investing in altcoins, you will lose a lot of money because you will surely get caught up in the altcoin fake hypes and end up pretty much regretting it. at least you need to know what pump and dumps are and how you can work around them to make money not just become altcoin bag holder.

bitcoin is always the obvious choice. it is the only cryptocurrency that has any real adoption outside of exchanges by real merchants and businesses not just speculators.

Honestly, it is still all about Bitcoin no matter if there are so many challenges and problems affecting it as of the moment. Nothing can come close to its supremacy especially next year when there would be new markets and new platforms opening up which many would be exploiting. Yes, scaling problem has been a perennial problem with Bitcoin but if people are not really leaving in droves then as a holder you will not have any problem with Bitcoin. One day all of these would be solved and we can be enjoying Bitcoin with a big smile on our faces.

There is no doubt, Bitcoin remains to be one of the best investment in cryptocurrency. However, it does not mean you should not diversify and take some risks with many good altcoins we have. Just choose wisely as we are literally swimming in the sea of alts, ICOs and including the so-called 'shitcoins' so you gotta be careful where you trust your money with.

I think both of them are profitable but we cannot predict the future value of them but i would be interested what the best choice would be when you buy now. Because bitcoin and also altcoins will not grow at the same amount as the past year. Bitcoin are great long term investment and there's a lot of benefits that come with using Bitcoins but for now cryptos are extremely more volatile and perhaps warrant a smaller time frame.

If you are keeping up with all the new stuff that happens all the time in the cryptocurrencies world you would notice that any altcoin that derives from bitcoin itself such as BCH or BCG are potential threats to bitcoin's value and fan base . For 2 simple reasons , these coins have better features such as faster and cheaper transactions , and are supported by a list of highly active and successful entrepreneurs . And just through surfing this forum , you'll notice how much people get hyped about such news , yet it doesn't last ! It's riskier to invest on Alt coins, usually they are just created for an "instant profit" airdrop that leads to pump and dump. Bitcoins are safer for me, no argument for that, basing from size of the community that supports it and the reputation that built over the years, but if you really want to invest in alt coins make sure that they have the names and not just "so-good-to-be-true" kind of coin features.

Alt coins is much more easy to earn than bitcoin but you can not assure that it will last long. bitcoin can be a long term investment because lots of investors are into bitcoin and it is more safer than other coins and it is more stable in terms of value.

Each has advantages and disadvantages. to have a safe investment then I think Bitcoin is much better because if seen then investing in Altcoin much more risky, a lot of Altcoin that often experience rapid changes. Maybe for some people who like to take risks I think Altcoin can be used as an alternative, for those who want to take a big advantage then altcoin is a good choice. but if wrong in choosing then altcoin can bring you loss and destruction. choose according to the conditions and do not forget you must have a strong belief in choosing a coin you want invested.
