Cold storage and hardware wallet is supposed to be the standard for most wallets nowadays. We shouldn't fully be deoendent on line wallets due to the risk of being robbed online. You might want to consider how much of a good investment offline wallets are.

Maybe you need to be secure in your wallet key or dont give your private key to others to avoid hacking.
You need also unique password to some wallet to also avoid hacking.
Check all site that you are logging in because there are some fake sites.
I agree, you need to do is you make a good password quality so that the hackers will not hack easily your bitcoin. Don't tell anyone if what is  your password, sometimes lack of care is the reason why soome bitcoin hack by the hackers. Sometimes its your fault, you don't trust anybody, just keep it secret. Or else you can make a best wallet that is most secure and trusted, that need or require a private key before it will open.

Trust no one too much.

Cold storage is the best way to do it. Anything else is riskier.
How to protect me from being a hack of bitcoin. First of all, create your password unique that even your husband finds hard to guess. If there's an option that you can change your keyword log in try to remake your own unique keyword. Do not entrust your account even to your siblings you'll never know.and mostly avoid logging in to different devices.

Just yesterday I come across one youtuber where he says
he just wake up and saw his 50 btc was vanish from his exodus wallet  and also before that another 20 btc was vanish
he says he dont even know how this happen.

pls how can I escape this.

The best thing to do before starting to join trading is to research all the information about what you need like what wallet you should use. I prefer to follow those veterans on the market because in this way i can make better decisions to become succesful.

To protect your account from being hack just simply don't trust to other people specially to the person that giving link/site 80% of them are hacker. Avoid the website without http. and don't log in your account from that site too. Tips read a newbie thread so we can learn more 😊

Yes its true. Its the simple thing and easy to prevent aour wallet being hacked.
Bookmark every website that you normally visit. Dont ever believe any link from any source. Always type any link will you visit.

Dont trust any hot wallet as they are hackable. Check out every support or forum about a hot wallet and they will not guarantee you 100% about your security. As pros always says dont keep your coins in a hot wallet for a long time. The best and cheapest thing you can do is to do the transaction via a newly installed OS. You can use Ubuntu live boot for this.

A lot of comment have been said about the Exodus wallet been vulnerable. However, Most of people who got hacked are people who don't double site they surf, people who don't use genuine password, open of spam email link, using bad anti virus, not using separate computer for their wallet. Therefore, it advice to stay way from all this act.

My advise is beware to share your personal identification don't transact with the suspicious people when you go and investment for bitcoin or buying and selling do not give the exact information of your account into suspicious person to avoid hacking. make sure that all transaction would be analyzed first before you do

For you to avoid it, do not click links that are suspicious and enable your 2FA or two factor authentication. If you want a safer wallet, you can buy hard wallet like ledger nano or trezos wallet. Hard wallet are the safest.Hope it will help you.

It's very important to secure your wallet, store your private keys in safe. Don't trust to anyone and don't give it to others. Keep your system safe, check it, have anti virus. Dont keep your coins in a hot wallet for a long time.

Use your own hardware (PC / Laptop / or your other own devices), never login with others devices. Remember to use anti-malware/virus to prevent your device being hacked or being manipulated. And remember, don not open any suspicious link or website, usually they snug some software without you knowing and remember, use hard wallet for your own sefety.

In my own opinion, the person you saw, its all his/her fault because you can search about different exchangers and holders to place your bitcoins and you should also read the different comments about past people who already use the app and from there you can decide if you will trust the wallet or not.

Be careful and take care of your private key because if it get exposed then anyone who see it would have a free access on it and do any transaction. I believe that bitcoin wallets is not so vulnerable to be attacked and hack by a brute force or whatsoever and people who loss their BTC on their wallet are victims of phishing sites or negligence to exposed their PK.

For me enter all your wallet, password and email information to a safe place like storing on a confidential note. Trezor has been tested for security despite having to spend a little money (paid) and do not forget you have to remember every email and your personal password. Cool

I think hardware wallet really is the only reliable way to store our precious coins for now. $100-200 is nothing compared to loss possibility due to hack which can cause you to lose like thousands or even millions of dollar of your investment.

After hearing so many hacking problem, I decided to buy myself a nice ledger nano s and so far very satisfied

Specifically in the case of hack of exchange i think  no one can secure his bitcoin under the situation but one can protect his asset by just having more than one wallet. All I know is that almost all Bitcoin wallets depend on core in one way or the other and all of them can be back doored or hacked. The holder must not enter his information anywhere and he must keep his own operating system secure.

Try to avoid different phishing links with equivocal content inside it will come with experience. Also try to dowload only official soft and use dual authentication.
