Get yourself some sort of a cold wallet. Period. I just recently got my hardware wallet, the Ledger Nano S, and I can honestly say that I have never slept better since after I secured my coins and tokens.

AFAIK hardware wallet able to damage or being stolen so you need to keep it very secure place for preventing something bad happen.
I'm usually use offline wallet like electrum but I'm always scan my computer in order to protect from viruses/malware !

This gives more credit to the fact that nothing is completely safe digitally as long as it remains so. Before I began to adopt and use Bitcoin, I was made to believe that hacking Bitcoin will be very difficult, but now, I think it is becoming easier.

Well, cold storage is one of the best way to save Bitcoin. And any websites that require you to fill in your details will steal from you at your own peril.

You should put your coin in your online wallet. Dont put it in exchange. It is very dangerous. Because, many hackers focus on attract the exchanges to stole your coins.
Never hear about this. Thanks for the trick.
As for I use few simpe things:secure my bitcoin wallet account (use MyEtherWalet), always check that I put my personal private key on the right site and also never share my private key

Choose the storage for your BTC carefully. Don't let other people make this choice for you. Just today 30 mln Tether Usdt tokens have been stolen by hackers. By this I mean maybe it's a better idea to store your cryptocurrency on your PC or a flash card. At least your safety will depend just on you.

If you want to level up your security in your accounts in bitcoin then you should have a strong password with a lot of customization and not just a word or just numbers, mix it with different special characters to have a strong password and also enable the 2fa so even though there is someone that knows your password then you are still safe.

i think he's make some mistakes with his wallet and the only thing that he can do is check the last action before he got stolen. how he secure his wallet is the big question from us because if he have 20 bitcoin in his exodus wallet, he must thinking about securing the bitcoin by doing prevention like for example, he will use hardware wallet or cold storage wallet, he save the private keys, not telling to other people how much bitcoin he have and else.

First, all of your accounts and wallets must be private only to you. Do not give that to your friends or families unless you trust them. Also, be aware of your bitcoin. It is important for you to always monitor your bitcoin and your accounts. I will recommend you to use strong wallets so that you can be safe from any hacker that will steal your money.

wow good for you but not all people can buy a hardware wallet because its also kinda expensive, thats why most of us are still prefer to use online wallets though old computers can also be used as an alternative cold storage aside from buying a hardware wallet. so i guess all we can do for now is be aware and extra cautios on what were doing to avoid getting hack or infected by malwares or phising attempts.

Don't trust anyone you don't really know. Avoid clicking link, this will give access to the hackers to your computer and personal accounts. Triple check the authenticity of the person who you've transacting. Always think ahead.

Set up your wallet with 2 FA or SMS code to protect, when anyone want to send BTC from your wallet they need to know the code from Google Authenticator or the code sent to your phone number. Beside you can use coldstorage wallet to keep your BTC safe, it's the most secure wallet for now. But you should be careful to not lose your USB stick Smiley)

Don't click and download something suspicious on the internet, there might be a virus or something bad on that things and also clear and protect your pc from malware and virus. If you have online bitcoin wallet, use 2FA protection and make your passwords harder to crack/hack. Also always check the site, is it a phising site or not.

It's main problem now. First I want suggest to use Google 2FA verification to your email . Basically we use online wallet so most of wallet have Google 2FA . Use also 2FA in your wallet. And it's better to use if you can . On the other hand you can use privet key wallet. That's more secure.

Bitcoin is the most popular and most expensive crypto ever. So its obvious that criminals/hackers get attracted towards it. Bitcoin is a decentralised currency, backed by no bank or authority. So we ourselves have to protect our bitcoin wallet. Always use bitcoin recommended mobile wallet. Secure your mobile/pc/laptop with alpha numeric password. Never share your private key with anyone. Do not open unknown mails or click on unknown links. Regularly delete cookies from your browser. Use updated antivirus. Keep your device protected by firmware & by firewall. Use a hardware wallet so that it will not be accessible online. These are offline wallet, so possibility of getting hacked reduces.

An offline wallet, also known as cold storage, provides the highest level of security for savings. It involves storing a wallet in a secured place that is not connected to the network. When done properly, it can offer a very good protection against computer vulnerabilities. Using an offline wallet in conjunction with backups and encryption is also a good practice.
