Well I am all setup to mine this with my 16 GTX 1080Ti's !

Has anyone made an optimized ccminer for this yet?

Anyone worked out a rough ETA for when block 10080 will be reached?

When will this be listed on CMC and whattomine?

Im pretty sure with this amount of cards you can run google and a bit more effort from your side on this machine.

Looks like about 16 hours til rewards begin if block time sticks to 60 seconds (for the past 40 min or so it has averaged to ~57 seconds).

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I realise that the only way to mine at this stage is through the wallet, but does anyone have a pool (legitimately) set up, or are we all competing for some solo mining coins Wink

I'm at work right now so hopefully will be home in time to set everything up and start mining before it starts!

Ah thankyou just saw that, posted way too quickly Smiley

Mining solo could be like a mini lottery, seems to be enough interest that a pool will be the way to go! Suprnova has worked pretty well for me in the past. Will also simplify set up.

Wait, really?  18 pages in and you haven't come across the very obvious snippet of info that states BLOCK REWARD WILL START AT BLOCK 10080?  It's even in the pool announcement that you just quoted?!?!  I have never been on any other forum where some/most people are blatantly oblivious to their surroundings (posts, in this case).  Blows my fucking mind.

Did anybody have any luck with AMD GPUs?

I tried with SGminer, but I'm getting "All devices disabled" message.

Beware of scam:
- Koinbi.com exchange. Fake exchange rates, withdrawals don't work, no way to contact support.

I do not own any "Red Team" cards but if you can find any places to download the mkxminer ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2360168 ), you would probably be good to go.  Seems the dev has removed download links to it though.  Skimmed through the thread quick and it seems as though it was closed source and under GPL licensing which is a no-no.

Thank you, I tried, but couldn't find it - all the links were dead or removed.

At least to begin with, I think the coin would have to be worth more than 5000-10000 sats due to the scarcity of the coins, otherwise mining would not be competitive at all for this coin. Going by the current hash rate (which we can expect to be much lower than after block 10080) my 16 GTX 1080Ti's would make only ~$13 per hour if the coin is worth 1000 sats.

Is there going to be any 'premined' coins or will the first coins on the chain be made after block 10080?

There is SWAP premine and some small part for development and such. But not a single block has been mined yet (with reward), all blocks are 0 so far Smiley we will all start fresh and fair.

It looks like there will be 41,250,000 coins to begin with. It would make sense for the initial price to be 1k sats (which is ~4x current signatum price) which would give the coin a market cap of ~3.3m. The coin is going to have to be worth much more though to attract miners, as even if you control 10% of the hash power, that is ~60 coins per hour which would only be ~$5 per hour.

Maybe give OCMiner a heads-up! He might be willing to set up a pool.
