I have ~6800 sig that I got from 1 week mining sig fairly early on that I didn't bother doing anything with. This translates to approx 1700 STRAK. Based on current network hash rates, it would take me approximately 4 months  to mine this many STRAK. It seems to me that the sig holders will be the one to control this network, but how is that fair? Why can't this coin be a true fresh start, without giving all the power to the people who held some unrelated coin?

6800 Sigt coins in one week means you either mined right at the start when difficulty was super low or your rigs had pretty high hash rate. 6800 coins in a week equates to nearly 1 GH/s of hashing power. With 1 GH/s you could currently mine about 190 straks coins in a day and mining 1700 Straks coins would take 9 days. One week vs 9 days doesn't sound too bad. People have been complaining about the high mining difficulty but we are currently pretty close to average Sigt mining difficulty.
I mined at least 10000 with 2*1080 for less than several hours. So it was possible.

Did you mine those right after launch? In the beginning difficulty was quite low and it was possible to mine lots of coins but pretty soon Signatum became popular and difficulty shoot through the roof. Before first halving the difficulty was more than 35000. Back then you could get roughly 70 coins per day with one 1080ti. I know that for a fact because I was mining Sigt back then with a 1080ti rig. If you don't believe me you can also have a look at whattomine estimate: https://whattomine.com/coins/191-sigt-skunkhash?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=49&br_enabled=true&br=2500.0&d_enabled=true&d=35000.0&p=450.0&fee=0.0&cost=0.1&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate

So 10000 Sigt coins in a few hours is not a realistic comparison. It's like saying you could mine 1 Bitcoin in an hour. Sure, maybe back in 2009...

Public Announcement

The swap mechanics from SIGT to STAK have now been defined.  Please read carefully and try to understand the rationale in an objective manner.

https://github.com/straks/straks#the-swap-mechanics

Could you write all this shit earlier, before announcement and PUMP? Fuck this, people got scammed again by these devs. Dumped this shit. Hope this coin die like all other garbage around. Thx.

Got me by suprise there! It is a smart solution, and a fair one for miners of straks. But not very transparent that this info came so late. It lead to a massive dump, and the worst is maybe not yet seen as many dont know yet!

Ye, they could announce 1:1 swap, and process it in 200 000 000 years. So, swap voting was a meaningless garbage. That is what "community" costs for these devs. Too greedy bastards.

I think it's a smart solution...milions of coins getting into the market in such a short time will be bad for stak...Now mining this coin doesnt look so bad.

What pump? The coin isn't even on an exchange yet! How exactly did you dump your coins when there's no exchange? It seems that you're just trolling hard.  Roll Eyes

Look at sigt price, it was pumped from 100 sats to 500, now it going again to 100 sats. Someone bought a lambo. And i saw 1 300 000 coins dumped before this announcment, someone knew about dump before the official announcement.

I think it was posted on Github first? So someone who had invested alot may have followed github more closely and dumped.

As I understand a SIGT address is created for each user for storing his SIGT for those years.
Just a few stupid questions.

1. Who will guarantee that Signatum will exist during this time (and nobody touches those adresses).
2. How the corresponding SIGT/STAK address pairs will be stored for such a long time.

Year 2 per Month: 453,600 STAK distributed, 1,814,400 SIGT burned
Year 3 per Month: 475,200 STAK distributed, 1,900,800 SIGT burned
Year 4 per Month: 496,800 STAK distributed, 1,987,200 SIGT burned
Year 5 per Month: 518,400 STAK distributed, 2,073,600 SIGT burned

Year 6 for 10 Months: 540,000 STAK distributed, 2,160,000 SIGT burned

Is it a joke?
Looks like that the SIGT users was fooled again. Another pump and dump show.

Well, I can say. The developers threw with his shit coin. As for me, I left the project. Done once, twice... and I'm afraid this will continue. (6 years to wait! About POS with 50 000 coins can not even dream). Do not be surprised if I say we won't make the swap. PR coins made and fuck all of you!

6 years for a swap, it's awful long for a crypto currency.
Why did this information appear only now ? Many people bought your signatum. Once again, the developers deceived their community.
Now in the discord from the developers only mockery, disgusting.

Devs just don't want to kill Straks by swap coins flood. I think it's reasonable position.

This is the poison that will kill the Staks all 6 years ...
...from 0 to 6 years
It was necessary to make an instant swap with a different proportion

You need to be realistic and understand , that all that you now assume about coin price, it's just your expectations. No ONE can guarantee, that the price will be about 1$. It can be only 0.5$. So be carefuly, consider all the RISKS

2 hours later

Quote
P.S. Yesterday`s signatum price - 100 satoshi. STAK expected price is 4*100.

Now now, lets not misinform folk, yesterdays lowest Sigt price was 271 sats and highest was 499 sats, current price is moving up from 390 sats. at no point was it 100 sats

EPIC nice price now

The 6 years is too much even for bitcoin. No one can't know what will happen in the future.

For a new coin like STRAKS even a 6 month is a huge time. Look at the SIGT for example.
