Is there any mechanism in place that helps STRAKS deal with volatility? I think especially in the e-commerce space that's a big problem and maybe a stable coin will have much better chances to be successful in that area.

Right now the supply is somewhat low so volatility is determined by supply and demand. As more coins are dispersed through the system and STAK starts showing up on higher-volume exchanges, the price should start to even out a little more.

That's the only thing you can hope for but it is highly unlikely that STRAKS will ever be less volatile than Bitcoin. And if that is the case, it's really difficult to use it as a medium of exchange for e-commerce. We'll see how it goes once the platform is ready.

That's correct, they are asking 5M Dot coins or around 24 BTC. You can negotiate though but the asking is now more than $100k in USD equivalent. There is tremendous demand for coins exchanges now that's why these exchanges are making a killing in commissions and listing fees.

Even negotiated down to $100k is ridiculous. No wonder some new coins need such a high premine! Wink

Would be a market for all those dead coins on cryptopia to get purchased by a new high quality team for like 10k, and get forked or completely 'relaunched' with new objectives, whitepaper etc. Would save $90k just like that.

Anyway, lots of new exchanges expected by mid 2018. Trade io and coin lion just to name a couple. I think there will be more competition in the exchange space soon, which should dampen asking prices for listing.

When do you update the Circulating Supply of sigt without burned coin?

Is this something we should expect STRAKS developers to do? They made the swap as gesture to old Signatum community but I believe they do not intend to keep involved with that community now the swap is over. I know I wouldn't in their place.

If all the info regarding swap and burn has been made public and I think it is then it should be now up to someone from Signatum community to update the Circulating Supply. I stopped following that project after deciding to swap my Signatums so I am not sure, but probably there is no devs left and there lies the problem and I don't really see a way out from it.

are there straks masternodes?

Yes there is:

Quote
How much should I expect from my masternode share(s)? You can currently calculate this using: With fee:

feeAmount= (masternodeBalance - (masternodeCost + 1)) * 0.025;
payeeAmount = (masternodeBalance - (masternodeCost + 1)) - feeAmount;
shareGains = (payeeAmount/totalShares)*yourShares;

Yeah, a $100k is still a lot of money just for listing. I guess the old supply and demand equation even applies to listing on exchanges. I'm also seeing a lot of exchanges coming soon. That's good news for startup coins that have difficulty listing.

It has been reported to the STRAKS team previously that users have been experiencing fraud from Koinbi. We want to warn and discourage anyone from using Koinbi's exchange. Users have reported losing large sums on their exchange, as withdrawals (among other issues) were blocked and never approved.

Stay away from Koinbi.

One thing I am curious about is a coin, and in relation to the fee. Will Straks keep a flat rate or will it rise according to users' usage of the currency?

To my mind fees be will always very small. Take a look there: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/straks/straks/master/doc/straks_compare.png

In opposite to Bitcoin, which has completely full mempool and you wait hours for one transaction with no-small fees, Straks is tens of times more efficient. Even if it could swap with Bitcoin it could maintain a lot of better.

Take a look on the last chart on the bottom: https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/

they pretend that they relife Signatum, however they just made a new coin but they are same people and they have same roadmap...

Icedevil,

If STRAKS is a scam, why were you so pissed off in the Discord channel that you missed the swap deadline?

You are like someone who waits in line for concert tickets, then when the concert sells out before they get seats, goes around telling everyone how bad the band sucks and anyone who listens to them is an idiot.

The fact that you were PISSED that you MISSED the deadline reveals the truth AND your real issue.

Nobody who is angry that they missed something is angry because they missed something they did not WANT to start with.

When you could not get it, you turned into a little brat... plain and simple.
