how can the masternode reward be so high if 80% of the coins are locked in masternodes and its 50% mn 50% pow?
Masternode reward is coming from POW. MN reward has has nothing to do with % of locked coins, that is affecting the price of coin. Approximated Master node profitability calculation can be made. • Block time 150 seconds (15 GBX) • 24 blocks per hour (360 GBX) • 576 blocks per day (8640 GBX) • 50% of block reward will go to MN owners (4320 GBX) Daily 8460 GBX are generated and 50% goes to MN. All these are approximated values, because block time is not fixed and can vary little bit. I am hoping that it is now more clear to you how MN reward is generated. } Please correct me if I['m wrong but the above will reduce the subsidy by a 12th of the total subsidy but not by 12% as stated. For example... 100 / 12 = 8.33 which is a 12th of 100 and not 12% of 100 which would be 12 and not 8.33. For your subsidy after the first year it works out as... 15 / 12 = 1.25 so subsidy after first year will be 15 - 1.25 = 13.75 coins To reduce by 12% it should be... 15 * 0.12 = 1.8 so the subsidy according to your info should be 15 - 1.8 = 13.2 coins |

i dont know why this coin is overbought so much that it's source code only has 9 commits. seriously? $40??
also, it's design is somewhat similar to (XIOS) a dead project where it's devs pre-mined before release, many idiots fell into the trap and maybe the dev of xios is working out on gobyte. you can check xios' ann thread. it's design on the first post is similar to gobyte. not spreading fud. just my opinion.

This project has potential, looking at it from the big picture i feel like its in a foundation phase.
11 commits on their github, i dont really know if this is alot or if its little, im not a developer.
But they have a working windows, linux and mac wallet windows 32 and 64bit
working on web wallet and mobile wallet, whitepaper is in the works which could "possibly" lead to a bittrex listing
There is a nice community in discord and ~6-8 developers, also planned to get listed on whattomine.
With all that said I feel like this is good project to support, always dont invest more than your willing to lose
