Guys, have a one question. Do you plan to continue POW-mining in the algorithm of coin (even if there is 0.00000001), or disable this option and continue with the only POS?

Current PoW subsidy will continue to halve after every 50k blocks until it reaches a baseline of .01 CGB per block, where it will remain in perpetuity. We are researching and testing the possibilities of discontinuing PoW and running solely on PoS, but no decision has been made on this at this time.

Ok, but IMHO many people like me can too afraid to 51% attack, please note our view too...

As a fellow investor in CGB (countless hours and a portion of my families financial savings) please rest assured that we will not make any changes that would potentially be detrimental to CGB. Your concerns are noted and shared by the dev team. Thank you for your support!

I felt compelled to upgrade the website today.  The translation links all point to the English version for now, but I'll fix them within the next 48 hours.

Cheers!

Sleek and much easier on the eye compared to the old layout.

Although it does bring back memories from my childhood of being spun for what seemed like hours on a merry-go-round, by a group of much older kids, before being flung off, with my chin coming to the rescue against the gravel to help bring me to a halt.

Love it, nice one.

I was a bit confused while viewing this on my phone.
Now it looks great.
but why do you have twitter feed on the team page?

There is a mobile version for device browsers, so it might not look great on your phone.  I'll get it fixed by tomorrow.

I had to put the twitter feed somewhere...it's only temporary.  I'm changing the contact page to be the source page for all social network/contact methods.

Ah, good then if it's temporary.

Yep, I added specific styling for mobile devices.  I also got the Chinese version updated:  http://cryptogenicbullion.org/index_chinese.html

Proof of Stake discussion worth reading, with application to CGB.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=316813.0

Certainly an increasing distribution is essential. This is also a good time to pick up more CGB on the market, whilst attention is on Bitcoin. The capitalisations of alternative currencies are being skimmed-off by BTC speculation money.

Apologies if this is a silly Question (I am not a technician):

If I have 2 QT clients on separate PCs running the same wallet addresses, does that increase the generation rate of my PoS blocks ??

Is 2 clients on separate PCs the same as adding the processing power of the 2 computers ?

There is plenty of information and discussion about PoS : PPCoin is of course the currency with longest history in PoS..

CGB has good developers who are endeavouring to make the best decisions at an early stage of what is, after all, still experimental software.

I really am not qualified to pronounce on the technicals, but it seems to me that a network composed of a very large amount of 'dust' ie vast numbers of users each with low hash power, is the most secure for either PoW or PoS.

No, it won't increase your generation rate because coinAge is calculated the same on each client and PoS reward is based on min/max coinAge.

PPC coin is trying to be a currency, to replace the mechanisms of fiat, minting ample supply daily, and doing a damn good job at it.

CGB is trying to be a commodity-type medium, a vehicle for long-term storage OR a method of payment.

Two very different paradigms.

---

CGB super nodes (ie, pools, exchanges) reign superior on the network and the proper balance of growing super nodes (in percentage terms) and users is actually better for network signal propagation.  This has been discussed on the LTC forums.  So adding exchanges where CGB is traded is high on our priority list and I suspect we'll be successful after future projects are released.  And the more exchanges trading CGB, then the more users.

If you're fluent in Hindi please pm me if you think you're up to the task of translating the CGB website.

We have Swedish, German, French translations to go live soon.
