CGB Core Team Weekly Update – March 25, 2014Please also see the reddit post for further discussion. It has been a busy week full of good news. The biggest news, of course, was the launch of our new website at http://cgb.holdings. Work has also continued on further development of the content of the new site. We have formalized and posted the marketing strategy, although it still requires further refinement, and will continue to evolve with Cryptogenic Bullion. Accompanying the new website was our launch party on Reddit and viral marketing image contest with our tipbot cannons put to heavy use for both events. We are pleased to announce that Cryptogenic Bullion can now be traded on the Bittrex and Ecoinfund exchanges! While Bittrex is based in the USA, Ecoinfund is based in China and will help to build our exposure to the Asian markets. We have even bigger news to announce this week, that we will soon be able to directly exchange between USD or CAD and CGB on the Vault of Satoshi, a Canadian crypto-currency exchange! We would also like to give a sneak preview of an upcoming project. We have been granted moderator status of the /r/cryptoeconomics subReddit and plan to use it to foster discussion and exploration of crypto-currency economic fundamentals. This includes effects of various coin specifications, discussion of what certain markets or roles require of a coin, and other more macroeconomic factors in both crypto and fiat markets. As always, we encourage everyone to post comments and suggestions. Let's keep the momentum rolling! The CGB Core Team Very pleased to see CGB is back in the saddle again, keep up the good work guys! Keep voting on the suggested sites everyone!

I think this discussion doesn't belong here. IF it is even true. CGB doesn't even trade at cryptorush.in Only lesson people should learn from it is this: don't keep your coins on an exchange. I myself keep the majority of my coins in my private wallets, and at most 25% of it is on the exchanges if I want to trade. Whenever I make a profit on a trade, I transfer this profit to my wallet.

I don't get why anyone would keep any coins on exchanges when we know how likely they are to get hacked or simply run away with the coins. With coins like CGB it makes even less sense when you can have the coins in your wallet generating proof of stake blocks.

You can't put a limit-order out if you don't have any coins on that exchange.

I was wrong about Kraken, was referring to this: http://gotcrypto.net/get-cgb/So it's CryptoKopen. I found the exchanges now under resources, so that's fine. I expected them under 'Get CGB'.

Ok guys, here is a hopefully fixed Linux build for x64. User mkz pointed out in a PM that I included the old build in my new package, sorry, I was rushing this morning to get something to fix this for you and I messed it up. This one should work, I tested it on a fresh Ubuntu 13.10 install and it ran and synced the blockchain fine. If it works for you i will upload it and fix the links on the website and also build the 32 bit version, so please let me know https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/139675/CryptogenicBullion_1.1.6.6-linux64.tar.gzThanks that works (debian "Jessie", 64 bit)!

Why another exchange? We are not your usual hobby programmer hiring some people to make a "secure" exchange. We are a company of trained professionals, based in Austria. We guarantee a level of security a single individual would not be able to. But yet, there are various reasons why we focused our resources on this crypto exchange: - Security!*
- The design is simple, not dark and also not too colorful. It was made to provide a neutral environment for maximum usability.
- Multiple order options including (but not limited to): Fill-or-Kill, Immediate-or-Cancel and Iceberg - multiple order types can be applied!
- Market and Limit orders (as you may know from Forex)
- A variety of Charts to reduce the time required for monitoring and watching to a bare minimum.
- Charts scale with the browser window-size for maximum screen-efficiency and maintaing a balanced layout.
- No personal data is being logged, because to us your privacy is as important as your security.
- The project is based on highly scalable software and frameworks, to ensure the qualtiy of service even with increasing user counts.
- We'll provide the world's first crypto currency index!
- High volume traders benefit from our VIP Account program
* The main focus of this service is the provided security. A lot of effort went into planing and testing the application, to guarantee the much-needed security. All communications between you and the servers are encrypted. A unique but yet fast withdrawal process secures your assets way more efficient than email confirmations, making this technique obsolete. What about the name?Swaphole is a one-of-a-kind service, we simply do not want to be your next best exchange, and the name simply reflects that fact. Still unsure? You can contact us here: support@swaphole.comFeel free to ask any questions in the main thread ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=530080) Supported coins (as of 28.03.2014)- Bitcoin
- Litecoin
- Cryptographic Anomaly
- Dogecoin
- Cryptogenic Bullion
- AuroraCoin
- Vertcoin
- Darkcoin
- MazaCoin
- BlackCoin
- BlitzCoin
Your favorite coin is not listed? Keep up voting!Go to https://www.swaphole.com/ and vote for your coin! You can even add it if it is not listed! A little hint: You can vote for every browser session once!

Finally an exchange based in austria - Sers! Did you have to deal with a lot of legal issues here in austria ? I'm wondering how to pay taxes on earnings through investment in cryptos - any idea about that ?
