Brief WOKE Update

We have entered a stage of development that will require a few days of patience from all of us as we wait for the politics to settle and ink to dry, here is what we have been doing.

• We have been working hard on getting one of the most unique and best explorers in the business, due to the people involved with this being extremely busy it takes time.

• Working on getting more thread GFX uploaded.

• Fixing and editing both the Website and Thread to ensure no grammatical errors.

• Achieving 10KUSD Volume per day on coinsmarkets and applying to Coinmarketcap for visibility.

• Ensuring the network is operating smoothly and increasing block times.

• Deciding which exchanges to get listed on and when to target them. (May already be taking place. )

• Brainstorming how the WOKE projects will work and how we will tie them together with WOKEcash.

• Discussing Social Media campaigns, Future marketing techniques and the best ways to run the next truth bomb

So, I don't like to address obvious FUD from salty traders but here we go.

1) None of my projects have been abandoned, although some may not currently be under active development I still pay every month for numerous nodes and hosting services and am also available daily to help users having issues with anything created under my name.

2) My prior Projects are initial creations and we had never even experimented with our own cryptocurrency before launching so we had no idea what to expect, due to this the KNC chain suffers from debilitating block times meaning much of the community actually recommended that we stop development and move on to new projects.

3) Everyone in contact with me and all users from my prior projects have ALWAYS been included in the airdrops of my new projects, I make sure to go out of my way and track down everyone i can remember and send them airdrops, they can attest to this. One of my main priorities as a shitcoin dev is to ensure that everyone involved in my community is happy and has no problems with anything we are doing, if they do i will gladly discuss it with them. To include another point on this topic we also had a swap for a short period of time when WOKE first came out giving any users of future coins a opportunity to easily move on to a "Newer" project if they wished.

4) Our community is more then just one coin, The community we have been building for the better part of 12months has grown into a bright seed that has produced many close friendships, tons of conversation about the cryptospace, what coins people think look promising and just a all around positive environment for anyone from newbies to OGs to say anything at all has been outright "abandoned" is wrong to a fundamental level, our ideology has only grown.

5) Why is it frowned upon for someone to have developed multiple projects? Cryptocurrencies at the lowest level are a form of artwork, as people produce art they generally get better at it, Would you prefer it I create all my projects anonymously like many do in this space or would you rather me be completely honest and forward with what we do? I know which i would choose.

6) The final point I Will address is when he Says: "same devs, why not leave this project (again)  and start a new one in the near future ..." to answer this I would begin back at point 2 in explaining the problems we faced with the prior chains, since the beginning of our involvement in developing these projects we have learned a great deal about what works and what doesn't. With this information we have developed a blockchain(WOKE) which we feel provides us with Fast block times, A fair rewarding staking rate and a slow+steady method of distribution. It is also worth noting that over the last 6 months our level of understanding when it comes to Web Development, Programming and just cryptography in general has grown vastly. We are learning how to recompile wallets on all OS's, How to make modifications to the wallet graphics, Web wallets, RasberryPi wallets, Forums, WebDevelopment, Friends from tons of Networking and so much more. It is because of this newfound knowledge that it will hopefully and likely be unnecessary going forward for us to ever have to do any forks, or new chain swaps. (Excluding masternodes which although not planned if we gained the expertise to execute would fork for.)


As a last little personal opinion I would like to add to this discussion I would argue that Nique is probably someone who got caught up in some of the hype that happened when KNC initially launched on yobit and sadly probably exited at a loss, Now I can't control or tell people when to buy or what they should buy or what prices are going to be for obvious reasons, I myself have NO IDEA, I am not a rich man, On most of my projects i generally do not control the markets, I am NOT a market maker nor do i have the funds to be! So anything you have lost trading shitcoins please do not blame devs like me and attack them for being creative and thinking of new projects.

If you are having trouble automatically connecting to nodes for whatever reason here is a helpful guide to restore your wallet back to a working state!


Step One: Download the woke configuration file from: http://wokecash.com/woke.conf.zip
Make SURE to EXTRACT the woke.conf file from the zip folder!

Step Two: Click the windows button on the bottom left corner of your screen and type %appdata% in the search box, You should see a folder, open it.

Step Three: You should see a folder called Roaming, Open it. You should now see a folder called WOKE, Open this folder and drag the Configuration file you downloaded in step one into it.

Step Four: Make sure your Wallet is closed while doing this process but if not please restart it and you should see multiple connections now, done!

From experience we have found that most people who experience issues auto connecting to nodes tend to be using windows 10 or live in areas of the world with less connections and a higher ping. This should help!

So as for coinsmarkets they experienced an insane amount of new users and volume over the last two months. I have been expecting this day for a while now, it was only a matter of time before they had to upgrade servers from the massive influx. I would not worry about your funds i am almost positive they are safe and will be back up in no time allowing us to trade. 

As for getting onto another exchange we are always shopping around but have found the majority of exchanges to either be a) Extremely new and charging listing prices that are not reflective of the volume/attention they bring. or b) Extremely nice exchanges that have 50K-250K$ Listing fees which we can obviously not afford. We are working on finding the perfect one that sits right in the middle but at this time can't say for certain any one specefic exchange. If any of you as members of the community want to attempt listing us on any exchanges feel free to message or vote for us anywhere you would like and i will support your initiative.

I'm at block 26226, it's syncing properly, with out any issue, check if your oen start sync after you restart it (like JWKY say)
Other thing you can do is open the roeaming folder where the WOKE folder is, from inside remove all the files which you have except WALLET.DAT (this one you have to back it up, because there are your coins (if you bought some already or you get bu the airdrop or exchanged) After you remove the files (w/o the wallet.dat) run the wallet executable file= again and let it sync.

Yes the project is still alive, yes I most certainly still have plans for it. Are we facing some set backs because of coinsmarkets disapearing and BTC dropping? We certainly are.

It is also worth noting that we as a team have been fairly busy ourselves, If the slow pace of this project has let you down I am sorry about that as it is not what you are used to from me but I feel is the right way to operate going forward. I want the community to grow in a positive manner and without blunder, impatience and greed bring nothing good. We will start inquiring with exchanges and explorers in the near future. In the meantime the explorer has a network list of a few nodes that you could add yourself if you know how, you can also still participate in all of our activities without being synchronized!

2 weeks ago I install new windows 10 Pro on a laptop..., to use it just for wallets and staking.., but unfortunately almost all the wallets aren't getting connections.., NVM what I'm doing they can't reach nodes by some reason...., 2 of the wallets which are TOR netw. based god connections, the rest can't, don't know why .., day ago I reinstall that one (this time install win 10 home, after I upgrade it to Pro, and all the wallets are fine now...

Yes, some versions of windows 10 seem to have trouble connecting to all variations of QT wallets, I have not pinpointed exactly why that is, but the easiest solution for you would be to find a configuration file for each of the coins not connecting or build one and then place them in the appropriate area. This should manually force your wallet to connect to those nodes and as far as i know no fixes exist yet anywhere in a step by step guide for this win 10 issue.

So first of all knc is still operating like it was designed and i still pay for web hosting out of my own pocket, the coin has been decentralized from day one so you must not understand that the only thing i did ever control was the site and thread. Feel free to message the people involved in my past projects though and you will find i am in frequent collaboration with most of them on things past, present and prior. We are also allowing anyone to contact us and take over development of knc if they are committed as it has too many serious problems for us to use properly going forward.

It also seems to have hit a ATH in JAN without me being around, so i would like to know exactly why it is your mad?

It is likely that somewhere along the line you had some sort of issue with connecting to the network and you probably ended up on your own chain producing blocks that can't exist leaving you in a loop.


The simplest way to fix this is go into the %Appdata% folder and delete everything except for your wallet.dat and you woke.conf then reopen it, let it sync and you should start staking fine!

If you would like more help or a faster way to reach us i would recommend joining the discord!

If you are on windows 10 placing the newest woke.conf file in the appdata folder will resolve this problem. If that does not resolve it then it is two other possible sources.

1. You are already running a WOKE wallet on a different machine on the network and the ports are already being used.

2. A Firewall/Routing issue on your end is blocking you from connecting.

POW only works good under a huge decentralized system or else you run into malicious miners and problems, for most of crypto POS is a better alternative IMO.


- Uses way Less electricity, Way smaller footprint.

- Rewards people already holding the coin instead of outside miners who do not care about its future.

- Increases the incentives to Hodl.

- Faster Block Times.

- Less networking Issues from malicious miners.

- Easier to understand for newcomers.

Hello Dude, the wollet start to work by it self after the 3th windows restart I check few times the conf file, all good there Thank you. Just can't get why it stay on 1-3 connections all the time .., NVM what nodes I put there, don't have limit for the connections in the conf file ..., will see in the next few days.

Whoever is the whale [my guess is it can only be the dev] that likes to drastically manipulate or throttle up the inflation periodically should really lay off (or at least moderate / use the "reserve balance" when) staking their hoard.

Over the course of the past month, I've seen two occasions when the net-stake-weight jumps from the usual 1000 to 2000 or so to as high as 60 or 70-thousand -- he or she seems to have been at it again today.

Specifically, it can be seen in those wretched orange spikes at the block explorer's inflation chart: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/woke/#@inflation .   For instance, from this chart's timestamp of 7:26:12 today the coin supply was 103,774 WOKE and then at 17:51:12 it was 103,885 ... that is, 111 new WOKE were generated in 10.5 hours time.  When he or she isn't putting the pedal to the floor on the WOKE machine it has been otherwise increasing the WOKE-supply by approximately two per day.  Presumably the whale/dev can do this at the slightest whim and every other holder of the chain is subject to... for example... 462% inflation at the peak today (obviously this is a disincentive to everyone but the whale/dev -- unless he then turns and dumps the new largesse on the market to distribute it [artificially goosing the volume and generating income for the whale/dev but further diminishing the scarcity which would be a positive feature]).

One of the things this chain has going for it is it's presumably like a staking Unobtanium; that is, a low-numbered coin  However, WOKE theoretically will not find its footing and generate any kind of sustainable trading volume if is perceptible as only a cash-cow for the dev.  I recognize that he was probably concerned because there was the low trade-volume warning at the exchange... or maybe he needed some spare cash or something but there's also the potential for exit-scam risk or the dev dreaming of a lambo and taking it out on all other holders through massive inflation (Zimbabwe, Weimar-republic or Venezuela-style].  

Just for comparison and for the dev to see the holder's perspective: typically, a few hundred WOKE can earn one between roughly 0.15 and 0.25 WOKE per day when the net-stake-weight is roughly 2000 (and basically nothing when the weight is off the charts).  The only recourse the holder has is to dump or not push the price up (because of the manipulation-via-inflation risk).

Thank you for your concern and the information. I will have a bit of a meeting with some of the team/community and see if we can come up with a solution for this. As you may or may not know the way that coinage works on WOKE this is although a possibly annoying function of the coin is something that may occur at times in the near future. With us still in the distribution phase some members of the dev team still hold considerable amounts of coins. Something that can happen as we try to increase the number of blocks generated per day while our user count is low would thus cause the type of inflation you see momentarily. It could also be caused by people coming back from vacation and kicking back on the computer after a long hiatus. We are still working on how to best distribute these funds without having rash affects on the market or them getting into the hands of greedy Indians and continue to personally contact people we feel have a level of knowledge that we admire whom we subsequently airdorp coins to. To clarify your position on the large spikes of inflation, whether that whale was to stake everyday and keep it smooth for all holders or stake periodically the yearly inflation rate if all 100K coins are being staked would be roughly the same.

This is a short term thing that we are aware of and is not purposefully used to create high inflation although I can understand the frustration but rather it is done by members of the community and myself to ensure the blockchain has a average block-time that we is considered acceptable and smooth for users who do try to move/sell/buy coins, having one block an hour would not be good for anything. As time goes on this will begin to happen less and less as the dev teams holdings slowly decrease to a size in which they can not in any way sway the chain. We have already made considerable progress on this front but have yet to get where we see as acceptable.

The dynamics for a coin that is premined then airdropped with no PoW Mining or ICO is vastly different from what most in crypto are used too and because of this likely looks strange to many in the industry. This is the reason we decided to take things so slowly with woke as we want it to be sustainable and long-term. I have made mistakes before in crypto and learned from them using that knowledge to try and do things correctly this time. As this is something i do for fun while trading and living my own personal life it can take time to get this coin where many others are already at. If you have any other questions or concerns do not hesitate to let me know and I will gladly answer them for you.

I would also like to note that exchanges have also been a difficulty for us as we refuse to wash trade or pump fake volume/pay listing fees that would make WOKE look like a corporation in which it is not. We will continue to navigate this arena and do what we can where we can when we can as a community but until our slow growth hits certain levels of achievement only so much can be done by me personally to progress us on some of these fronts without it looking shady.

The WOKE chain is based off of a novacoin pow+pos fork which uses the Scrypt algorithm however the PoW part is disabled. PoW is not a viable solution for chains with small communities such as woke as unless you have serious hashing power it can make the chain easily susceptible to 51% attacks and cause a big mess.
