Finally. I think that due to the recent flurry of airdrop scams, ICO's received almost no attention and now that the airdrop scams are receding, the attention to ICO's has pretty much diminished. Now, the hype is all around masternodes but that will soon go away as well. I guess, the real question is, what is next??

What do you mean? ICO'S are still receiving millions of dollars in funds, and more and more of them are popping each day. I do not think it will be stop, maybe slow down. But as long as there are projects or businesses out there that have real objectives and needs funds, ico will remain.

ICOs will never end because most of them accept the option to pay with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, and is almost impossible to stop people from transferring bitcoin to any investment they want.

But of course the ICO's will lose strength because countries are prohibiting their citizens to invest in ICO, or at least deeming they illegal, so they could not count on the legal system if things goes wrong.

Of course the legit projects always will find a way to rise their funds and thrive no matter what.

There are still very successful ICOs. There are several ICOs that ended up selling out every single token they offered to the market. And then there are several more ICOs that surpassed their soft caps. The problem is that we are already seeing so many ICOs in the market today surpassing the capacity of ICO investors, which are moderate on the average. As regards, airdrops, most of them are scams and useless coins. The same with ICOs but more so with airdrops right now.

I don't understand what you're trying to say. Now the ICO market is still quite hot. Many projects can raise a lot of money in a short time, so I don't understand it ver

nah, it is a start but it doesn't seem to me like an end.

it has always been like this though. for example back in the days when people were creating new coins with a lot of premine, everyone said they are scams, don't invest in them,... but nobody listened. the first ones went to the moon and many made a lot of money... but after a while, scams happened, people started losing money and nobody trusted them anymore. so they disappeared.

but now that a long time has passed, there are some premiend coins that aren't so bad anymore.
we will see same thing with ICOs too. there are a lot of them, many will disappear. in the future there will be some good ones after the end came.

Buying the dip...

If you are saying the master nodes will become the hyped coin and you may wrong at all. icos is not like airdrop. Quantstamp becomes an example of how people are happy to make them more money through ico.

It's a bit difficult to comment on Icos in general
Not all of them are scam so i think so
Maybe the real Icos are more, people will trust again

I put it this way. As long as new products based business ideas are cropping up ICO's will never end. I see many scams as well but we have to see what a real product gives the benefits to its investors as well. I also see from longer point of view, crypto space is going to be used vastly and most of the traders, customers , sellers have to migrate slowly and this may happen in the future. So still i would say ICO will be cropping as long as new ideas are there in the market.

I still think ico's have a place in the crypto world. Considering this is still not yet adopted by the masses. As long as tech keeps changing and more people are aware of crypto and it's benefits then ico's will be here to stay.

of course ico will never end because not all of them are screaming  scam and infact most of them are somehow legit and succesfull. im still hopping someday that devs and admins can regulate them in order to reduce the risk of illegal  and shady activities that may result for a potential scamming attempts.

ICOs had never been started to begin with, you'd thought if they're saying that they've raised money it makes them real?

ICOs will never dissappear, but I do agree the number of ICOs will decline as the time goes by (due to less hype, stronger regulations etc.)

Also, people will start avoiding ICOs with $15+ hard caps because they will finally realise there is no room left for growth, and their investment will trade under the ICO price. As soon as 5-10 ICOs fail to reach their hard cap, they will rethink it and it will become a big competition between them to attract investors - this will be done by reducing their hard cap to $5-10m levels and we will finally have ICOs with room for growth.

(I personally don't invest into projects with $15m, with some exceptions)

Man, that's ridiculous. How you can say that ICOs are coming to an end while the reality is in the fact that mining is facing it's end at the moment. Otherwise, ICOs and PoS mining will come over with time and push out PoW mining.

I think you are talking about scam ICO's that are finding other ways to earn. They are just following a the trend. They will just jump in on a new bandwagon. It's good to have even a few ICO's which are legit and promising.
